Best lease car deals available?
Discussion
Yeah I did the maths using an RRP of 24210 on a fully loaded QQ. AFAICT it's a saving of >2k in your pocket over the term to go PCH not PCP. Yes, the better deals are at the lower spec!
Please don't lose sight of the fact an Q5 or an XC60 would be more expensive. Other crossovers like the ix35 and sportage are available but she doesn't want those ones! Q3 is too small in the back and she didn't like the Tiguan test drive one bit.

Drivethedeal price is 21136 though. Please don't lose sight of the fact an Q5 or an XC60 would be more expensive. Other crossovers like the ix35 and sportage are available but she doesn't want those ones! Q3 is too small in the back and she didn't like the Tiguan test drive one bit.
Rough finance calc based on what's on Nissan's site you'd get a final payment/value of about £12k after 3 years. On their finance (5.93%, not brilliant) and putting the same deposit in as your lease (£1623), it'd be £287 a month. 3 years rather than 2 mind, but the excess miles charge is less.
So you're barely saving anything over PCP, I guess it depends more on whether you like the leasing model over PCP really.

Had a chat with Kelly at G2L about their Golf R Estate deal and got an official quote, as follows:
Golf R Estate, plus metallic paint, list price £34125
24 month contract
3+23 payment schedule
Deposit of £832.56 followed by 23 payments of £277.52
Annual mileage of 5000, with excess charged at 6.28ppm (incl VAT)
Administration fee is £180.00
They're thinking delivery could be end of November.

I leased a QQ a few months back at those sort of numbers, I did the sums/specs comparison on the alternatives and the QQ was the only one that even had the option of a fully heated front screen for under £300 a month, so on the basis of that and that it had a lot of gadgets it was a done deal.
It is a great family car, but not not very PH of course, but after some exciting financial discussion over repairs to my previous car I just wanted something a bit more whitegoods for a couple of years. It's all down to personal needs and wants of course, i'd have loved a golf r or similar for the same cash, but I kind of like the high driving position and comfy seats

That cost is roughly £0.74/mile! Before the cost of fuel and consumables. I really don't get these 5K miles per year deals, you are being truly ripped off.

What does 6+23 mean?
6x monthly payments in one lump as initial rental followed by 23 separate monthly payments. Total term 24 months/2yearsWhat does 6+23 mean?
For example if the car costs '£300' per month, then the cost of that first months rental is £2700. If for whatever reason your contract with lease company becomes null/void after that first month has past you won't get your money back. It's sort of the cost of renting a brand new car with essentially delivery miles on the clock.

If you doubled the miles (20k over the term), it would only add £628 in excess mileage charge, thus about 40p a mile. That cost is roughly £0.74/mile! Before the cost of fuel and consumables. I really don't get these 5K miles per year deals, you are being truly ripped off.
I'd be inclined to do similar, I'm well under the mileage on my current lease and as long as the excess miles charge is reasonable (and doesn't ramp up if you go nuts) it gives quite a bit of flexibility.

A bit left field but might interest someone. My car was stolen and need to replace it asap. I really wanted a Golf R estate but the lead times are a problem. I was looking for the best car with immediate availability and come across a Lexus IS300H Executive on 6+23 at £179 per month with no document fee. 8000 miles included.
Clearly going to be a bit meh to drive but for what you get, it's two years cheap motoring for a £30k car. Best of all, you can have one in a couple of weeks time.
Now off to buy a fun second car....

Thanks to the person who posted the deal, hadn't even thought of Lexus before but at that price didn't think I'd go too far wrong..I didn't

FWIW I'll do 16000 miles in it over the term, so cost per mile should be approximately £0.48.
As said before, on the face of it these 5000k deals looks poor, but delve a bit further into the excesses and they can often work out far less than a comparable higher mileage deal.

I actually managed to get one of these, delivered last week, a lot of car for the cash. They've gone up now to about £230 + vat, I paid £185.00 + vat from Lexus dealer, delivered in 10 days, great service. Not sure what all the fuss about the gearbox is, it's fine and actually goes much better than expected in sport mode, highly recommended car, way cheaper and better than the BMW F30 318d SE it replaced.

I popped into a MB dealership today, to enquire about a C220 Blueteck diesel.
The cost was
3000.00 down,
299.00 a month
for 36 months,
and 10,000 miles.
Good or bad?
How to work out if it is good or bad, I see pence per mile figures quoted on the thread, but dont know the context.

Thanks for the contributions today guys.Have mailed Nissan to see if they can match/come close to the PCH. Don't mind PCP but Plan A is a lease for 2y, then see where we are. Enjoy the freedom of it. If it goes well, she can hand it back and I'll lease another in a different colour! Or something bigger. Etc.
When this is in the bag, I can switch fire to a German car for myself! Possibly not the Golf R Estate because the current VW touchscreen/cockpit/radio/nav annoys me... that font, the slowness of it... jeez Wolfsburg, look at the Ingolstadt cockpits and interface ;(
