Leasing works if you want to buy a brand new car on finance.
Leasing is also worth bearing in mind if you are buying cash, as the subsidies from the manufacturers can sometimes outweigh the cash price.

Please note this is not on all occasions , simply that it should not be dismissed as the work of the devil and should be looked at as part of your research in trying to achieve the best price.
I think you mean have use of a car. You're not buying it if you're leasing.
Fully aware that, hence I never said it. My point was that leasing should not be dismissed out of hand as an alternative to buying with cash.
I agree. It was Helicopter's post I was responding too really.

I need something fast, ideally around £5-700, but I don't want to wait a dozen weeks... Anyone seen anything?

Thanks - seems good value. Ideally I'm after something that has rear seats - even if only useable for small journeys.

Chaps, bit OT and I apologise but can anyone calculate PCP payments roughly?

I'd like a C class Mercedes next, drive the deal is quoting £36,500 for the car. If I put say 2k down, over 3 years, what would the payments be?

Still deciding if I'd be better off leasing or PCP'ing.

Indeed.... seems the offer was withdrawn almost as soon as it was published - i.e. it was never real.

What a fking useless company. The "call back in 5mins" never materialised, so I've just called back... To be told that a few of the sales guys were on the phone so could I go over my requirements again.

Er no. That's one leasing company who I won't be doing any business with.

I sent an enquiry into them two weeks ago about a Touareg - no response.

Not sure what the final payment would be though as I don't know how much it will be worth after 3 years?

Have a look on the MB website, there's PCP deals on there which should give all the payment details.

I should add that when I took a CLK on a lease, it turned out to be a PCP from Merc themselves. Same monthly payments but with a much lower initial payment that they didn't want to publicise via main dealers, hence it being dressed up as a lease.
