Just played around and found this myself. £263 with 9+23 3dr DSG Golf R. 10k miles per annum.

And when I see a golf R, I think...oh another one. When I see a Cupra, it's nice to look at. FR's are saturated right now, just like every golf model. The Cupra is somewhat more uncommon. Only potential benefit of the Cupra is availability. I need a car within 8 weeks.

Im looking for new car for when I start work. I started looking at 3 series, and noticed the standard specs were pretty basic, so now im looking at 4 series and possibly golfs.
Cheapest 4 series rate for a 420d auto M-sport ive found is https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...
BMW 4 Series Diesel Coupe
420d M Sport 2dr Auto
9+23 8k Miles p/a
Initial Payment: £2,192.58
Additional Fees: None
£243.62 Per Month, EXC VAT
Total comes to £9,355.01 over the 24 month period, £389.79 pm.
Do you guys reckon thats a crazy amount to spend?
Alternatively, ive found a few VW Golf GTDs for around £8,000 over 24 months.

On only 8k you should be able to find a GTD for a good £1k less than that. Standard spec is very good compared to the 3-Series.

Excess is approximately 7ppm so even with an additional 6000 miles you'd still be under £7k.

Thats interesting, I never thought to look at lower mileage limits and factoring in excess charges, cheers.http://www.gateway2lease.com/z_volkswagen_golf_2.0...

What do you reckon about the 4 series, is it expensive for what it is comparatively?
The only thing that swings me is the slightly more luxurious interior in the 4 series as oppose to the golf, I hate the grey checkered seats, but leather at £1700 or however much it is extra seems a bit too much, especially as it will be a lease!

Anyone know what the usual deal with options is?
I keep seeing reports of people who have loaded cars at reasonable prices, but when I ask about options the prices I'm getting fully load the option cost onto the lease.
ie on Tiguan I'm looking at, there's one solid colour and met paint is coming out at around £25/mth over 23 payments (£575 - vs £540 in the price list) which is an absurd proportion of the monthly cost.

Almost always better to look at getting the higher-spec model (e.g. M Sport/Luxury instead of SE) to avoid this.I keep seeing reports of people who have loaded cars at reasonable prices, but when I ask about options the prices I'm getting fully load the option cost onto the lease.
