I'm waiting to see deals on Peugeot 308 GTi. I'm really quite taken with the looks and they seem sensible.

Does anyone know if it's permitted for me to finance a personal lease under my name but for my other half to actually be the main driver of the vehicle? I will, of course, put her as the main driver and myself as an additional driver on the insurance policy.

I'm not quite sure which car to go for yet and can't see why there would be any problems regardless of which manufacturer/finance company I ultimately go for.

Apologies in advance if the answer is obvious.

With quotes this week, PPM mile I'm getting for MB is 16p plus vat (on CLS) and 9p plus vat on Beemer's.

Am waiting for quotes on a7 but dealers very sloooooow....

The CLS quotes are good for business users but on personal they're a lot higher than the business rates plus VAT.

Maybe if I registered a company on companies house. wink
The way I understand it ,pay off 50% of the whole deal and you can walk away without worrying how many miles is on it.

Surely it would just mean that you're responsible should a payment fail to be made, but I'm sure you know that already.

Whoever finances it just cares about getting their money in a timely fashion.

This is not a problem but the broker will probably want a copy of the inurance certificate showing you are on it thats all.

Any good deals to be found on the Leaf, or similar, I'm tempted to run one as a 2nd car - more comfort and MPG for the daily commute than the defender.

Yes £520 a month is misleading.Deal is:

24 month deal,8000 miles,Initial payment £4697.90,23 months x £521.98 and admin charge £360

Total for 24 months £17063.44 or £710.97 a month.

As someone said a lot of car for the money but also a lot of money for a car.

I wouldn't hesitate too long as i know Audi arnt honouring this deal anymore as the vehicle isnt getting the same support.

To secure the rate Audi asked for 1k depsit which was non refundable (basically to secure the slot) which would come off the 6 upfront when it came round if you haven't paid this I would phone whoever you spoken with (if it was my contact or another) and get them to clarify your position as I fear if you haven't paid the 1k build slot you may not have a car secured....just a heads up.

Saying that if your contemplating a TVR then I don't condemn you if you go for on...great toys!

Well they took the full 6 payments as deposit for mine. Delivery estimated for Mid November, can't wait.
