£199 + VAT on a 9+23 on a business deal for an E220.http://www.jr-leasing.co.uk/business-lease-cars/me...
£399 doc fee is on the high side but I didn't exactly search long and hard either.

I vaguely compare these deals in my head on a monthly cost versus list price and that one is the best on here for ages.
I feel tempted myself despite the fact I don't need another car at all.
Hi guys, about to pull the trigger on a personal lease on a Merc E220 BlueTEC Saloon (only options is leather and black ash trim) other than that bog standard nothing special.
Its on a 3 + 35 @ £321 (including VAT), 10k miles pa, and 0.09ppm excess charge. No admin fees apparently (according to the Merc dealer I spoke to). So other than the deposit (£963).
I've just parted with my Jag XFR V8 so nothing is going to match really but in terms of the deal above for a standard family merc, is its fairly average compared to what else is out there...I don't want to get stung on a lease deal (never done it before), but equally I'm not looking for the cheapest deal out there...how does the above sound?
thanks PHers! I live on this site (more of a lurker) as much as my other half lives on mumsnet!

Hi. A couple of points, firstly try Applied leasing as they have some decent e Class deals and secondly, I have that engine in an e Class cabriolet and i found my previous 250 engine to be much smoothe and perkier without much loss in economy. Its on a 3 + 35 @ £321 (including VAT), 10k miles pa, and 0.09ppm excess charge. I think the engines are the same displacement but the 250 has tweaks and an extra turbo and is much nicer so if funds permit give it some thought. Lovely car the E Class, if it has parking sensors and heated sets that adds to the pleasure,

The 200 is single turbo, both the 220 and 250 are twin-turbo, all three are 2.1lI think the engines are the same displacement but the 250 has tweaks and an extra turbo and is much nicer so if funds permit give it some thought. IMHO there's nothing between the 220 and 250 in terms of refinement etc., both are gruff but reasonably effective. Obviously the 250 has a little bit more poke so maybe needs to be extended less often, so perhaps can subjectively be considered less intrusive?
Having spent three years in a C220 there's not much that would get me in the heavier E- or CLS-Class with the same engine. These cars deserve six cylinders!

The engine is much more isolated from the cabin in the E class Saloon/Estate (not the coupe/cabrio though, as that is really a re-badged c class) and the CLS. I do agree on the need for a 6 cylinder ideally in the bigger cars.
Has anyone seen any 435d (xdrive?) or 335d deals on at the minute?
I drove a 640D coupe bmw the other day and while its an amazing car its just out of price range for a pcp (given i do 22k miles)
Offered £560 a month with £6k down over 4 years for a second hand car which is ridiculous
Long story short, i need that engine.
I believe its the same in the 435d and 335d?
Any help would be greatly apreciated..especially for any sneaky 640 deals if there are any.
(spec would be 24/36 months, 22k miles)
Cheers
Rob

Its on a 3 + 35 @ £321 (including VAT), 10k miles pa, and 0.09ppm excess charge. No admin fees apparently (according to the Merc dealer I spoke to). So other than the deposit (£963).
I've just parted with my Jag XFR V8 so nothing is going to match really but in terms of the deal above for a standard family merc, is its fairly average compared to what else is out there...I don't want to get stung on a lease deal (never done it before), but equally I'm not looking for the cheapest deal out there...how does the above sound?

Agreed about the isolation, but the additional weight means these engines even more prone to be hunting up and down the 'box in the bigger cars. Most undignified I do agree on the need for a 6 cylinder ideally in the bigger cars.
