That's interesting, I got quoted 6.9ppm for excess miles regardless of the amount by smart lease when I spoke to them yesterday
Id imagine it will all depend on what mileage you ask for as part of the allowance, or who they are working with at the time to supply the cars. Out of curiosity what deal are you looking at?RTaylor2208 said:

Skoda Octavia VRS Estate - 8000 miles per year, for 24 months with a deposit of £1,310.34 and 23 monthly payments of £218.3.

Seems like a decent deal. Would anyone warn against/recommend something else?
Looking for a not-too-slow, not-too-ugly estate.
Currently got Vrs estate dsg. Its a really nice car to drive and decent performance, Mine has been faultless.http://www.freedomcontracts.com/Skoda-Octavia-Esta...

Would have preferred the Octavia, but nobody offering decent rates got back to me - I think their prices were left over from last quarter when Skoda were pushing the VRS hard. Now Skoda seem to be pushing the Superb 2.0 TDI SE Business equally hard and the reviews seem uniformly glowing.
A bigger car than I was after, but it's to supplement a knackered Golf mkv we use around town, so that we can ferry the kids down to their grandparents - I'm hoping for some improved motorway refinement!

I had a poke round the estate se l when it was being dropped off ready for going into the showroom. Very well put together, the damping on the trinket box is lovely
Went to look at a 640d gran coupe this afternoon. Business deal, 6+23 @ £394 + vat for a car with the sport plus pack.
Awesome car, it's enormous! But the bik kills it dead, £791 per month!
What I want is a deal like that but to pay for it personally and keep it off my ltd co books. I don't want to try and cheat anything, I just want a cheaper lease deal!
Looked into option of using the directors loan account, but this still leaves me liable for bik.
Has anyone got experience of using your company to take the lease out, but then paying for it from a personal account?
Fwiw, my company name is "my name" limited, so on paper would look similar!

I've never leased a car, but still follow this thread as I find the deals interesting! Has anyone seen any good lease deals on Fiat 500? A friend wants one...5k miles pa would be fine, ideally on a 24 mth lease.
CVL has a 1.2s pop, with 5k miles on 36mth lease for £108/mth and £906 upfront. Sounds better if it were a 2y, not a 3y!

During the Golf R farce last year, I was told that some sales act makes it illegal for a seller to discriminate against who they offer a deal to - this is why VW now offer deals to personal customers. Why BMW and Merc continue to get away with it I have no idea.Awesome car, it's enormous! But the bik kills it dead, £791 per month!

Unless your car gets stolen or written off in a crash at the start of the contract then the contract is cancelled and you have lost the big chunk on cash in the first payment.I would not pay more than 6 months for the first payment, may be £100 more over the lease period but a lot less risky.
Edited to say that on a previous post someone said the same as me.
Agreed, happened to me last year. I was hit by another car 5 months into the PCH resulting in a write off. It was a 6+23, so effectively I'd made 11 of 29 payments, making it fairly expensive for 5 months of usage. Not the end of the world, main thing everyone was uninjured, but I'd rather not pay more than 6 payments initial. If you can get a good deal on 3+23 etc, I'd go for that. Two weeks ago I ordered a white Scirocco R on a 6+23 with G2L £222 inc VAT.Edited to say that on a previous post someone said the same as me.

2 years, 3+23 rentals, 5,000 mpa, non maintenance contract for £109.63 + VAT (Initial rental £328.89 + VAT), business or personal.
Add maintenance for another £12 per month roughly, I don't think I'd bother with the low mileage here.

Shame that it knocked he Ssangyong Rhodius off the 'Ugliest Car in the World' throne. I'd (much) rather drive a Citroen C1.http://www.ford.co.uk/Cars/EcoSport
