It's pretty good still even at that.

With VAT it works out at £2400 initial payment and then £107/month = £4861 for the duration, probably got an admin fee on it of a couple of hundred quid too but it's still pretty good if it's genuine which I'm not sure it is as I can't find it on any of the well known lease companies and he hasn't posted a link

Isn't it a Ford Brazil product that they've bought over here? So way off the pace in every department compared to the Juke/Captur etc etc.

And it's got a stupid name...
Amazingly, it's made in Brazil, then shipped over to Europe where the whole interior is ripped out and replaced with a better quality one. Shows how absurdly cheap it is to make.

Yes - amazing deals on Touareg, I'll message them to you shortly - just waiting on them from my source. Nowt on RR or the new Q7 as yet
Can you make them public? Or copy me into them?

Thanks.
Some quite good Touareg deals here, don't know what the excess mileage charges are though. But sounds as though rfoster may be aware of some better deals.

5k pa, pointless, that's 100 miles a week plus change, who the hell leases a car like that to cover no miles. crank it up to 20k and you are looking at double.
I'm assuming you've never had a PCH before? Most people that have know it's often cheaper to get a low mileage deal and then pay the excess mileage charge, rather than getting a high mileage included in the PCH; hence the comment in my original post re excess mileage charge.
Even on this page??? not that hard was it rolleyes

I have operated in this way for many years, basically the lease payment including vat goes from my limited business account to the lease company. The monthly sum is recorded in my accounts as a dividend.

I have been through a revenue investigation (ir35) and this was not seen as a problem.
I know a few people who operate like this and have had no issues. As long as you are not making any claims from the company i.e for VAT, rental costs against corp tax etc then I can't see the issue with it. Within the case law that was posted up earlier, the directors were trying to claim 50% VAT refund too, I don't think that helped their case as they wanted the benefits of a company car without paying the BIK.

Company pays lease cost > director reimburses lease cost inc VAT back to ltd company. No claim is made for VAT, or lease cost written off against profits. Can't see an issue with this method...

Yes, exactly that.

People were asking for details to be PM'd to them because there are no details of the deals being referred to.

ETA: This bit, to clear up any confusion.

For the Leon Fr deals a few posts up I found this for the 184
(After all this is PH and more bhp = better)
https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

9+23 8k Miles p/a
Initial Payment: £1,360.71
Additional Fees: £180 INC VAT
£151.19
Per Month, INC VAT
That's average specced supermini money. You're getting more space, more kit and more power.

Just got my 184 delivered and it's got most of the kit you could wish for. But I wish I'd added auto lights and wipers. After four cars and 200,000 miles in the last 6 years, I'm going to have to get the hang of switching my lights off again. (1st world problems or what)
The wiper thing can be sorted with rainex...

Is this deal genuine? It isn't even on Gateway2Lease's own website at that price (the price is significantly higher and only for 5k)

I've linked to the deal. I don't know if it's real or not.
For clarity, I got my Leon from another company.
And I am on a 1+23@25k miles pa deal I'm not putting the price up here because it would be an irrelevant figure for comparison and I don't want to hear how I 'could have had an s8/golf r/etc for that' ad infinitum

I hear you, and I went through entirely the same thought process and conversations with my accountant. I would never try to tell you how to organize your life or run your business, not even via the internet :-) But, Background and Facts #22 from (http://www.bailii.org/uk/cases/UKFTT/TC/2010/TC00409.html) and Findings 37, 38, and 47, 48, and 49 are directly relevant. HMRC were pretty much uninterested in the mistakes with VAT and claiming tax relief, etc.

I passed on my business lease, and found another similar deal on a personal basis for only about £30/mth more. I was not willing to risk a potential £30,000 tax bill for that amount of money. I'd sooner driver around in an old snotter :-)

Morning - here is the Touareg deal that we have on the go - I think it's great value but I think all the brokers are 'singing from the same hymn sheet', as it were.

New Touareg 3.0 V6 TDI Escape in Pure White
2 years, 3+23 rentals, 10,000 mpa, non maintenance for £364.17 + VAT per month
(Initial rental therefore £1092.51 + VAT)
Business or personal leases at same rate
Add full maintenance for £18.21 + VAT per month
Equivalent X3 / Q5 etc is at least £200 more per month. Not bad for a £45k car.

One white coming into stock in 3 weeks and a Canyon Grey (metallic) for about £20 more per month.

Quick questions is it worth bothering with maintenance, been offered full maintenance which includes servicing and tyres for £15 with VW for my Sirocco R. Has anyone got any experience of this, seems worth it for tyres alone im going to need at least a set of front tyres in the 20k lease?

You'll probably only need one service on the car - if you didn't need tyres then I'd probably say don't bother, but if you will need tyres (it's touch and go) then it's definitely worth it. I'd take it.
