Quite literally the beardiest of 911 beards who are generally the beardiest of all car beards, fair play but really cant see the point of owning several examples of the same car, could understand a 964, 993, 930 collection but having one from each year of the same thing, dont really understand.
I am afraid that i totally get it.Im not proud of it.

Don't get me wrong, wouldn't say no but seems a bit mad having four of ostensibly the same car when there are so many out there, I end up with more choices than I need with three, and two of those are mundane, I just can't see how there is enough difference, do I take the blue one or the silver one, hmm, I would end up with a favourite and three I didn't ever use, but then it is probably a very nice investment.
I'm another one that gets it as well. It's the tiny little differences between them, spec, history etc. thank fully for my wife I don't have the money to do as MW has......Mind you I did have 7 Archie Shine Hamilton sideboards.....the wood finishes where different but they all looked the same! Man OCD is strong in the Porsche arena:-)
Somehow each year, I hang on to my 930 the thing is if I sold it. I could never afford to buy another one later on as they have gone up in value to much in the last five years.
Plus there is nothing, I like anyway to take its place.
So I keep it and enjoy it, off to LeMans in it next year again.

That is all almost unbelievably naff ///ajd said:
I thought that was brilliant.
The 3.0 turbos look fantastic, love the non intercooler whale tail. The 'turbo carrera' is correct for the US market and looks great.
Not at all sure what is not to like, but we're all different!
What's not to like? Driving the bleeders; the 930 was a car best suited to posters. And yes, I've owned one.The 3.0 turbos look fantastic, love the non intercooler whale tail. The 'turbo carrera' is correct for the US market and looks great.

There really are some ridiculously judgemental bellends on this forum.
Regardless of his appearance, Walker surely must be the epitome of a Pistonhead, and some of you lot need to give your pathetically envious heads a serious wobble.
Sorry, I'll bite :Regardless of his appearance, Walker surely must be the epitome of a Pistonhead, and some of you lot need to give your pathetically envious heads a serious wobble.
How does disliking someone's car collection make you "pathetically envious" ?

On the subject of jealously, far from it, I can, have and do own Porsches but I also have, do and could own other marques too. Its a matter of personal taste and choice, that does not make me a judgemental bellend. I think you need to understand that many different people with many different tastes and preferences contribute to this site so rather than name calling it might be an idea to lip up and just read the thread next time and keep your own judgemental views to yourself thanks.
