This happens all the time - they could have had a blow out, heart attack, fallen asleep, or just lost control simply through poor car control (most people drive around with one hand on top of the wheel - they just haven't got a clue). The only thing different here is they hit a weak crash barrier on a bridge. Hopefully they'll strengthen the barrier in case it happens again.
