I have a C63 AMG PPP (i.e the 487BHP one). It is an April 12 plate and cost me £48k with 4k miles on it in December against a list in excess of £72k. It will do 22 mpg if you use DISTRONIC PLUS on a motorway, or 12 mpg if you use your foot on a country road. The suspension is too hard and things rattle. Lots of options are bloody annoying (see the blog below for a comprehensive list). But it is a 6.2 litre V8 and every now and then, that will make you laugh out loud at the sheer stupidity of it all.Not in the sense of car tax and fuel but servicing costs, general consumables etc over a couple of year period?

Forget the coupe, get a nice wagon in black for über-stealth mode.
Don't bother with Harmon Kardon either, you'll want to listen to the engine all the time!!
Don't worry about the oil consumption either, it gets better!!
28.5mpg is achievable with massive restraint although 18average is more normal with 12 the worst.
Just listen to the bass....
Or the NASCAR-lite madness that is a 6.2l V8 turning at 7200rpm and doing sport+ upshift.... (bang!)

mmmm, the thought of a PPP and its increased reviness is too much for me to concentrate on work right now should a 6.2 really be revving like that? It's on my list to own in the next few years.
Unfortunately a PPP is out of my budget right now

I picked up my Edition 507 Coupe in September and couldn't be happier! I chose to have mine in black with black wheels and I'm pleased I did. The contrast of white with black accents works well on some cars, but not the 507. Probably the vinyl sill strip was a step too far! But on my black car the strip works well and is quite subtle.

I think it's that it doesn't photograph very well from some angles as I'm always looking for that massive rear flank when I see them but it doesn't seem to be that bad in the flesh. These are better photographs....

Potentially in the market for a C63 507 edition, have been looking at one but the options list I've been given makes no mention of a LSD in either the standard equipment or options.
This article doesn't help (sorry Dan), mentioning the LSD as "standard" and then "optional" later on.
Research suggests it was standard in some markets (Australia) and optional in others (US)
So, did the UK model 507 come with the LSD as standard? Other than the obvious hooning is there a way to tell definitively?
