for someone whos threads include fish and chips, come dancing, and gaming you have a lot to say, you don't list what car you own or where you live ,are you still at school ,
To be fair though, you have to be into the RS "look" which is not a million miles away from the typical Tescos car park Barry hang out/Bradford center style.
What do any of those things have to do with subjective opinions?

Here's hoping the STI will restore some faith.
It'll just be that with a wing. It's been caught testing at the 'ring….Have to say, that is a mess, and I used to own the previous hatchback. Then again, I did say that was ugly as well, but it had a whiff of group B homologation about it, at least in my mind! This looks like a thousand ricer Camrys. Not impressed at all. Guess I'll be going European next time, after 20 years of Japanese performance cars. If only Alfa would hurry up with the rumoured Giulietta GTA….

I hope I'm right in thinking they've held it all back for the sti. That bonnet vent is all mazda MPS in my mind, AND HOW THE HELL HAS THAT HAPPENED???The old car looked much better in the flesh, here's hoping that this is the same.

I don't say anything bad about you having a citroen
Curve of the bonnet line and low 'face' is reminiscent of the 3 series. And that is not a good thing.
Arches look bulky, not sporty. Whole thing just looks heavy and American.
Oh well, hopefully it drives better than it looks. Maybe that's what the 'small' wheels allude to...

Are those really small wheels?
Or are they just not the stupidy over sized wheels that seem to be becoming more common these days?
at least some of us are on the ball. That actually has proper wheels IMO and tyres and its in fact the body thats the wrong size. The obsession of putting fecking huge chunks of heavy aluminium (don't say ali is lighter) in each corner and wrapping them in a thin sheet of rubber. Is just daft. But hey the sheep can still buy it if they want. But then what modern car hasnt got all bloated and soft now.Or are they just not the stupidy over sized wheels that seem to be becoming more common these days?

LMAO, stop fooling yourself buddy, as the other poster told you, that is one of the AUTO EXPRESS photoshop drawings of an ST made to look like a RS. When the new RS comes out, it would NOT be looking like that. Details are due within the next few months I believe.

I don't get your stance on this PH.
Take a classic Impreza and remove the wing, bonnet scoope, twin chromed exhausts and they look like any other Japanese saloon of the time.... Same deal with Evo's.
So what exactly are you moaning about??
And lets not forget that a Focus ST, Astra VXR or even the Golf GTI are only tarted up normal cars too. Hell even a 330 or 335i BMW hardly looks striking compared to a base model or it's market peers.

When I first glanced at the rear end pics I thought I was looking at a bodykitted MG-6 Magnette....

That is a symptom of the need to meet pedestrrian crash-test standards. Big, bluff fronts with low grilles.Edited by r11co on Tuesday 12th November 11:49
