I have both the Xjr and the Vts. Both great to drive and surprises most. Another wee one to throw in the mix is my old Saab 900 Turbo conv. It is nowhere near the performance of modern cars but can still get a lick on which leaves some a bit bemused.

My wife's Micra 160SR (at least, when I'm driving it).

I loved mine when I had it-great fun to fling about and nippy enough for a 19 year old. Looked kind of cool in Emotion Red too-like a hamster with spikey teeth.

Mazda CX-7 2.3 Turbo

Looks very mumsy, does 0-60 in 7.7 seconds with 256 bhp & 280 lb/ft. I imagine it could be remapped quite easily and get to about 7 seconds.

V70 T5 and T6

Especially in a mundane colour with 16" wheels.

Anywhere from 230-250bhp for the T5s and 300+ for the T6s!

My lowly and knackered (auto) T5 from 2001 with 160k miles would still knock out 6.5s 0-60mph and <15s 1/4 miles all day long on my data logger.

With a very conservative RICA remap, the T6 motor will be 330bhp - with a few more little tweaks (or a more agressive map, 350bhp+ is easily and quite cheaply attained. AWD to boot smile

Debadged, you wouldnt know if this has 350bhp or if its the 1.6DrivE with 105bhp smile
I'd nominate my C70 - looks like an old man's car but still 240bhp and under 7 to 60

I guess most people know about fast Subarus now, but back in 1989 these were already a 2.0 turbo Awd bashing out 0-60 in 6.5, with a quarter mile in the mid 14s.
The estate was even more of a sleeper!
thumbup yes, what a weapon! proper farmers car too back in the day and massively under the radar.

I knew what it was when I spotted the red and white badge. My buddy, driving his 330d, was horrified as to what had just left him for dead on the slip road.
A car with Porsche wheels/brakes/wing mirrors and RS badges on it goes as fast as it looks which to me is quite fast.

Keeping on the theme of the 205, I nominate my own. It looks like a standard GTI (albeit with different wheels) but has a 3.0 V6 under the bonnet. It goes rather well!

We're going to need some more details and pics I'm afraid...

Capable of staying with considerably more ostensibly sporting vehicles and on a sufficiently open road, overhauling a first generation Boxster S, much to the owner's chagrin. biggrin

Also the first vehicle that brought the 250km/h limiter to Germany.

By the looks of it the XC90 and S80 are diesel only as well, and there's no C70. Do people only buy cars based on tax and MPG these days?
