I would prefer if they came and picked the car up but any ideas who would give the most in the Shropshire area?

shropshire is a big area, where abouts?

Scrapped a car a few weeks back, only got around £100 a tonne, they may charge to collect so you will see little for it, any way you could get car to the crap yard yourself?

I went on a few internet sites and put the car in and they send an offer. However, it may be worth trying a scrapyard direct as the guy who bought mine said they have to pay a referral fee from the internet site. Most yards will come and get it.

Or list it on ebay and you may be surprised at what someone offers.

It's meant to be around £130/ per ton at present

Sandbach commercial dismantles in Cheshire are pretty decent depending where in Shropshire you are located may or may not be to far.

They also have a scrapped large aeroplane which Is just really cool on site. Bonus points.

Cartakeback.com says £135 delivered somewhere in chester and £80 picked up.
Thing is the tax, insurance and mot have all ran out and I would have to have someone follow me up.
If it was closer or more rural I'd chance it but these cameras I hear about that catch you out for no tax or insurance or mot worry me and if it breaks down en route I'm buggered.
Just seems such a waste as all it needs is a muffler and brake pads but it is taking up valuable space and a very nice relative has gifted me a run around out of the blue.

I used these guys:
http://giveacar.co.uk/

You get a letter a few weeks after saying what they managed to make.

Speak to your local fire station if you're not too fussed how much you'll get. They will put it to good use for practicing on.

If that's all that is wrong with it put it on ebay with a good honest ad. You should get more than scrap value for it.
