Chester to Cardiff (150 miles) on a Honda SS50 with 1.5hp. Certainly seemed like from here to eternity....

I only ever rode one SS50 and it was quick (as mopeds go)

635 miles in one day - Hampshire to Calais, final stop Stuttgart via Belgium and Lux - took about 11 hours.

They uprated it to 2.5hp, 5 gears and a disc brake - the B1. I wanted one, badly but mine was the low-powered 4 speed version which did 45 off a cliff and 30 uphill.
The earlier ones came in candy red, blue and a funny yellow.
The later one was quite a decent 50mph moped but still slower than an FS1/E which could hit 60 on a good day.
They came in bright yellow and bright green.

Milan to Lincoln in a Skoda Favorit 1.3i

About as close to automotive self-harming as you can get.

Bristol > Tenby > Olympic Park (London) > Redfest (Redhill, Surrey) > Tenby again > Bristol

Over 800 miles and a good 16 hours of driving. Only stops were to unload/load the van at each destination

All that driving and I only really went East/West the whole time.

Furthest for me would be in a Hyundai i30 in Iceland. 4 of us had gone away to Iceland for a week and really wanted to see the Northern Lights. Toward the end of the holiday, seeing that there was a chance that there would be come clear spots up in the north of Iceland, we thought we may as well drive up there on the off chance. I'm not sure what the exact number of miles we did was, probably less than you'd expect, owing to the fact a lot of the roads up north are unpaved and potholed and therefore going quickly on them is not a very good idea. We headed off at 10am, had rather a pleasant, if not slightly stressful drive up north and after much driving around and searching for clear sky, we ended up seeing the northern lights just before the town Isafjordur. After probably 1-2 hours of photographing and watching the lights, we started to head back. When we got back to where we were staying in Gulfoss, it was 10am and therefore 24 hours on the road. Thankfully there was 1 other person sharing the driving with me. Very tired after all that, but enjoyed it quite a lot. I absolutely love long drives; I've not done very many, but hopefully at some point next year I'll do a driving trip around continental Europe smile
