we really are very lucky.

Just had 3 XF Sport breaks & one F Type R delivered as pool cars.

That EJ2000 looks like it'd for in the back of the jag. Side project?

Upper chassis back on site today from the National Composite Centre having been cured for several hours @170c.

Pleased with the outcome, one the whole it's come out pretty well, a little distortion in a couple of areas, but nowhere that'll cause up any problems.

Can you described the painting process? Will Rivets be visible?

Thinnest possible layer of paint. All rivets need to be visible so we can see if any are coming lose.

Likely a daft question but why not bond the outer shell instead of rivet? Surely its not a strength member.

Already bonded and riveted. That's why it was 'cooked' to cure bonding compound.

Belt and braces!

Are Jaguar going to do you a SVO F-Type à la Team Sky for their spare bikes: specifically with two ginormous cut outs, one for each for Andy Green's cajonas?

Saw a Bloodhound XF Sport brake at 06.30 In Avonmouth this morning. Then 5 minutes later saw a un-camouflaged XE!!

I was very fortunate to be given the F Type R on Tuesday. Awsome car with more performance than you could ever safely use on open roads

How much has Andy been involved in the design?

I ask as I have just visited Liverpool Cathedral and learned the story of the Organist's staircase. Upon nearing completion the Architect and Builders proudly invited the Organist to review the newly installed Organ. All seemed well until the Organist turned to and asked the Architect how long the builders ladder used to access the Organ players seat would be expected to last?

The Architect designed a staircase and the Builders installed it.

Small oversights and all? wink

In the cockpit area, a lot. Else ware on the car his experience from Thrust SSC has been valuable. For example, the reason we have airbrakes is because Andy had multiple chute failures on Thrust SSC & didn't want them as his primary braking system.

Obviously you have bills to pay, but this must be one of those jobs where the money is hardly a consideration at all. The day you retire it will be the job you remember the most.

How will the Jag V8 hold up to the forces involved? Seemed like a F1 derived engine was a good choice from a known quantity point of view.

I suspect the Jag engine will last considerably longer and be a lot easier to work with than an F1 engine.
For a start an F1 engine is solid until it is fully warmed through by an external oil heater.
