Does it come with AC?
It's a good point though... What's done to make Andy comfortable?
Is there any firm of HVAC? Does he use an aero type seat, or a motorsports style seat?

We'll pump cooled air into the car whilst it's stationary, Andy's not in the car long enough to require full AC though. The seat is a moulded carbon motorsport style seat.

What project would be complete without some plywood & MDF mocking up, in this case the winglet actuator mechanism.

Fin skinning is coming on well too with the boys from Crash & Bash (71 Squadron).

Are you sure about the angle of that fin? It looks all wrong to me.

I'm off for a couple of weeks from about 1630 today (going to Florida) so this thread may not get updated for a short while.

Taking the opportunity to get what's likely to be the last time off before xmas 2016.

Insight,
As this is an education program and all the plans are available online etc, I'm sure you have you been contacted by loads of engineers of all differing levels of experience and talent offering their "advice" on how your plans are wrong/could be improved or how you've not thought about X,Y or Z.

The question is have any of them or their advice sent your thinking in a new direction and as a result of making the plans freely available the feedback has caused you to change any aspects of the design?

Thanks

The 3d models can all be downloaded from our website from memory, which currently is a little jaded due to jetlag

Question: Are you planing to, or think you might need to, "trim" the aerodynamic structures on the car to get it to drive straight? (or have you got a good enough build tolerance to not have to do this?)

I would imagine it should be able to be built without the need for any aerodynamic trimming. I can build my RV-8 wings to well within 0.05° washout without any jigging, so I'd expect the Bloodhound SSC could be built at least as accurate.

By comparison, at 1000mph, a 10mph crosswind is more than 0.5° AoA for a fin.
