Any news on when you get the (i guess first) nammo rocket for installation?

Is it still the plan to have one rocket for next year and a few for the 1000mph runs in a couple of years?

That is the plan yes, we go to Nammo to test the rockets, we'll do the water testing here in the UK

It's...er....quiet. Hoping to be HTP pump testing early next year.
I'm 1 day a week on site, 4 days at Williams Advanced Engineering, a bit on the side for Brompton Bike & in the early stages of design of the propulsion system for an electric airspeed record plane.

Has the project lost its momentum or just got to the really tricky bits?

I suspect the frenzy of activity to get the 'big' stuff presentable for the official unveiling and PR circus meant that things were very, erm, industrious for the last few months, but have now calmed down a bit as planning and testing for the initial runs takes centre stage.

I think lots of the resource has other jobs to do as well so I'd imagine their 'day employers' might appreciate seeing some of them for a bit too!

Sounds as though funds are tight right now, and one reason for the slowdown. No doubt Richard and the team are on it though! Good luck guys.

Thread revival as I was down in Bristol for a 'Rocket car experience day' over the holidays with my family.

Great lecture to start, plenty of time around the car itself then the kids made rocket cars to blast about in the carpark.

Highly recommended if you can get a place.

Hopefully this is a sign the project is about to pick up momentum again.

I don't think the project has lost momentum, now the construction phase has completed there will be a lot of planning and backroom engineering stuff, testing and preperation to do before the car is run for the first time with just the EJ.

According to a recent video...."funding has all but dried up, and has put a damper on things" Richard is out trying to raise the 15 million needed to keep going.

I have no doubt they will do it....question is when? Car still needs finished, rocket pump tested, and runway testing done.

Wishing them the Best!!

They need to start putting up some posts about it if they need funding, just like the Vulcan got people opening their wallets to keep it flying, they need to publicise it!

Can you give us diehard fans and followers any morsels of information, or an approximation of when we may hear an announcement of project status Mark?

We are jethead junkies out here....we need a fix. lol.

I'm afraid not, I'm currently working offsite at Williams Advanced Engineering.
