Just a heads up for anybody who may be interested.

We are starting hire out our board room for events as 75% of the time it sits there vacant & it's a asset we should be using to help fund the project.

We can offer light refreshment, or if you prefer a decent buffet lunch.

We have already had a couple of booking for car clubs.

If anybody is interested drop me a PM & I'll pass your details on.
How bigs the car park? Sunday service?

On a Sunday..... Probably park about 50 cars out front, 10-15 in the back yard, but there are loads of roads on the trading estate so easily 80-90 within view.

Badly marked up image of parking.....

Second bag has now been wrestled into place. 'Just' a case of connecting the two bags now.

Why the need for two tanks? Surely the tank only has to deal with positive longitudinal G as the car is running because the engines are off/idle during deceleration?

For capacity and the fact there's a bulkhead between them?

The bulkhead divides the tank, to lessens the mass of fuel pressing on the face of the tank during accel/deccel

How rigid are those tanks? They look well self-supporting there, but did they need a bit of squashing-down and unfurling within the chassis, or is that not possible/safe?

Not very,

But the nutplats around all of the apertures will clamp the bags to the carbon box when the lid is on.

Interesting. I hadn't consider the weight of fuel when subjected to g

So is this a permanent fit for the fuel bladders, or will they be taken out again and stored until the final build proper starts?

Assuming there are no issues with the tests W/C 12/12/16 it will be permanent.

Meanwhile, the aux tank enclosures are here for trial instal & to enable plumbing up with -16 fuel hose.

Are the fuel tanks/bladders foam(or something) filled to slow movement of the liquid. This would be of major importance if the car started to move away from straight ahead.

Rapid movement of large amounts of liquid can completely destabilise a vehicle.

None of you at Bloodhound are novices so I am sure you have this calculated to the Nth degree but it would be interesting to hear what you have done.

I can't tell from the photos where the fuel tanks are situated in the vehicle and I can't find a really good cutaway drawing to show me. Does anyone know where to get such a drawing?

The word bladder is used, could i infer a collapsable tank, therefore negating the movement of liquid as the fuel is used?
