Having stood next to one on the assembly line (when it was at Brough) that's a fairly substantial fin for a car, but then at 1000+ mph you need the directional stability.

Just come across a sound simulation of a 1000 mph run. Will require earphones at work! What I assume is the noises created by the shockwaves are just plain freakish

Ahem........someone I met recently at Goodwood mentioned that that historic piece of timber would make it onto ebay.

Seems to me that at present, it is indispensable to the project!

The thing with this car being hand built is that there are always small "issues" to deal with.

Here's (left to right) Roland (Stress) Tufty (build tech) & myself (snr engineer) going through the final snagging list before the uppers chassis comes apart for bond prep'
