The fin assembly jig arrived yesterday, it puts in perspective the size of the fin....










I've also sent a couple of days at ResQtec in Holland, testing some of their rescue equipment that they will be supplying to the team. Hopefully we'll never need it, but good to know you have some great tools available if the worst should happen.









Oh, and as of next Friday I'm going to be lead mechanical engineer!!!!

wow, the Fin jig looks massively solid! Full machined alignment surfaces too, very nice, must have been done on a big mill!


What's the tub you're cutting up in the jaws-of-life pics? presumably an ex T&D tub from IRL or similar??

Work has been going on this week mocking up the systems within the lower chassis. Aux jet A1 tanks, hydraulic manifold blocks, hydraulic lines etc.

No, we'll pop round to screwfix & get some solvent weld adhesive once we've finished mocking up.

You need to leave some duck tape in there otherwise it won't work!
