compressed air?
not sure what your getting at?
Purely just interested because I work on Typhoons and I understand the process they use to start the engines. Just wondering how the bloodhound project will be intergrating the engine into their application. It's something that had crossed my mind when I saw the gearbox and the ATSM being installed.not sure what your getting at?

My assumption would be that there would be a start cart to provide the puff to get the thing started. No point carrying an APU and all of the associated gubbins to go with it.
yup...http://www.bloodhoundssc.com/news/search-air-start...
Have you managed to get hold of a cart or 2 yet? If not I'll go and have a dig in our hangars and see if anyone knows of any. I can't say that I've ever tripped over one just laying about, but we've got so much kit around the place that it's a possibility there's one sitting in a corner somewhere that was forgotten about.

Keep your eyes (or should that be ears) open for a Gareth Jones on Speed special featuring Bloodhound.
Should you really be associating the project with someone taking drugs?IN51GHT said:
It's slightly odd, these programs you spend years listening to, suddenly you're on them!!
You might be... The rest of us, mere mortals...Edited by IN51GHT on Friday 17th October 11:15
