Very soon then since your already over 24?
Very much so.
As my birthday is in June, I would like a car for the summer. Very hard to find such a car with such a small budget.
Maybe some time of kit car with a great bhp/ton.

1967 5.0 V8 Mustang at ~300bhp. The original definition of more power than grip, especially with the live axle hehe

The 160bhp Caterham is a much better balance of power delivery and grip, but then it weighs about 30% of the Stang driving

E55.

But it's interesting how the fun a car gives me is almost in inverse proportion to the bhp. Bombing about in my little 500 Twinair (85bhp) is a blast and my old Humber (98 very old horses) never fails to put a smile on my face. Whereas the E55 was wonderful about once every three months. The rest of the time I was backing off or braking the whole bloody time.

250hp - Juno SSE-CN. Also the fastest car I've ever owned by quite a lot despite only being 7hp more than my Cayman.

56 plate 320d i think about 168bhp or 09 Passat estate 170tdi

I find that very sad for someone 43 years old.

The fastest thing I have ever driven is a BMW 123d courtesy car cry

A measly 231 bhp from my Z4. Had plenty around the 160-200 mark though.

Nothing too special here with my current A3 3.2 V6 with 247bhp. My Astra VXR was lagging behind with 239bhp but it felt quicker.

251bhp MR2 turbo. Closely followed by 244bhp JDM Impreza WRX.

Not mind blowing, but both were good for around 5 seconds to 60..

Must buy myself a monster before they're all gone!

A rather pedestrian 180HP from my Leon Cupra. Feels no faster thanks to the (probably) extra 200kg over my 167HP GTI-6.

Until it died due to a van wanting the same bit of road in 1992 an Opel Manta with 289 Bhp at the read wheels

Until sprog 5 in 2004 jap import Scooby STi with 360 bhp at the wheels

Until 2009 when petrol prices were hurting my 80 mile each way work trip 402 bhp at rear wheels MG ZT-T SE 260

As you can see not standard cars and I still have the dyno prints from Torque Developments
fk me,a 289hp Manta that mustve been interesting!

Owned quite a few around the same 340-ish mark; BMW M5, 340bhp; Alpina B10 4.6, 340bhp; TVR Griffith 500, 340bhp; Audi S4, 344bhp; and Alpina B10 V8 at 347bhp but I'm hoping to easily clear 400 with the next V12 I buy.

Driven would be a 500bhp+ from a V10 M5 or a Diablo.

Owned = Gransport with a few minor mods so should have 400+ (seen dyno results for one with the same mods at 450 but think that's opptomistic

driven = F430

My Z4 at around 260bhp

It's not a huge amount, but it at least puts me in petrol head territory.

E39 530i Sport. 230ish bhp I believe. Enough to make it quick enough when desired, it can get a move on but it probably wouldn't see which way the majority of modern hot hatches went.
