The fact that the car will only do 14 MPG at best, or down to single figures at worst.
If it makes you feel any better my Rover 75 2.5v6 did 14mpg town- although no single figures -worst was 11mpg

Mine can be configured to only open drivers door or all doors on one click, now since it usually only myself in car that would be quite useful - except I pretty much always put computer bag and jacket on rear seat when going to/from work so it is configured to open all doors. However I can see the appeal, especially if in a "less safe area" a lot.
Yes, my Volvo is configurable from the dash. But the Skoda (VW) needs to go to the dealers. But, its a family MPV...you will have kids and shopping in your hands. Sooo annoying. Useful in South Africa maybe, but elsewhere, I dont think so.

In the missus' 207CC the seat belts are too far back, so I have to do that stupid half spin to get hold of the damn thing. It's another car where "auto" on the air con means whatever temperature you've specificed, air con on, and fans on full blast. Usually straight in your face for added effect.

On my Focus, it's the slow puncture, but I can't really blame that on Ford.

Audi B6 S4 - centre armrest really, really gets in the way of the handbrake lever.
Totally agree Fortunately I have the auto version so never use it.

What does get on my nerves is how the stereo turns itself louder & quieter depending on exhaust noise & as I have milltek this is often.
It did it with with original stereo & still does it with aftermarket one & I can't find how to turn it off!

You need vagcom to disable it, its very annoying.

Im fed up banging my head on the TTs roof getting in. Only way ive worked out how to get in or out is push the chair right back when I stop. Getting out I put a hand on the sill with the door right open and basically just fall out. Getting in is a case of mixing a pole vault technique with a limbo stance

We have a Mk1 Seat Leon 20VT (before they were badged Cupra). It's got an LCD screen right in the centre of instrument cluster that never has anything on it all. Presumably it was for models with an OBC. It drives me nuts.

I know some people who have MPV but as it is their only car it still often only one person in it for most journeys - some I know would love another car for the commute but don't really have choice, others though seem happy (or at least not unhappy to moan) with such.

MK3 MX-5 owner, short on space, normally throw my work bag onto the passenger seat each morning, forget to engage passenger seatbelt, 10 minutes into journey work bag suddenly becomes weight of human and car starts beeping at me frantically to put its seatbelt on.

Passat - it was too much effort to wire the door mirror heaters into the rear screen heater circuit, so you need to set the mirror adjust switch to a 'defrost' position, which then means you forget it's in that position and run round with the heaters on all the time.

Mk4 Golf - arm rest above the handbrake.

Also the pseudo 4WD system gets upset at the slightest of issues and disables itself.

Alfa 159 with Auto wipers that you have to set to auto every time you start the car.

You have to move the stalk to the auto position to get them to work (obviously) but if you stop and then restart the car you have to click it back to the off position and back to the auto position for them to work.

Many a time I have been driving thinking "the rains quite heavy the wipers really need to give it a wipe" but then realise it it isn't actually active because I haven't done the off/on this journey.

Fiat 500 Twin Air. The boot release button on the key is so easy to press accidentally and it's on a hair trigger. I'm forever having to jump out of the car to slam the boot shut.

I have the opposite annoyance with the Fiat 500, as it is my girlfriend's car, she gets the proper key with the remote, I get the crappy second key, which means I have to unlock the car at the drivers door, before opening the boot. Or every winter, when the microswitch on the boot handle gets damp I can't get into the boot at all.

Silly reverse beeper that:

1) does not indicate distance to obstacles behind
2) is not audible outside the car

Hence is only useful as a reminder I am in reverse, which TBH is fairly bleedin' obvious!

Grrrrrrrrr.......
This annoys me in my MR2, although it can be heard outside the car too, but not loud enough to be a warning.

However, the most annoying thing is that when you fold the seats forward to access the "boot" they don't fold back to their previous position. Even my old Metro could do that!

Mk2 Focus -

1) Very easy to switch on full beams when flashing headlights
2) The wipers wipe too many times when spraying the windscreen, a common gripe it seems!

Vauxhall Mokka, genuinely have a soft spot for this car. Much better than the magazines give it credit for when used long term although not very PH. Having said that it has a couple of annoying features.

Auto lights come on too soon.

High beam assist is useless, too slow to turn off and ste when following other cars.

Lifting the passenger wiper arm to clean the bade when washing causes the metal arm to foul the bonnet. Guarantee this will be a rusty spot as the car gets older.

My MK6 Astra.

When I arrive at destination I park up, turn off the ignition and everything electrically still works. I can sit in the car make a call, eat my lunch, listen to the radio and open and close windows at will. My gripe is as soon as I open my drivers door the car instantly shuts down electronically. Everything turns off turning the car into a piece of toast. The real annoyance is that if you leave a window open you have to re insert key and turn it all back on again.
This^^^ all new vauxhalls do this!
I find that the auto windows being the most annoying on them, especially if they are open quite wide...
You pull up, press window switch so it goes up automatically, take keys out, open the door... Window not fully shut!! Yet my old Vectra C used to allow the windows to work with the door open until it locked?
or you could just hold the key fob button down and the windows will close. Alternatively insert key in door on exit, lock and hold it in position before releasing back to vertical and windows will go up.

VW Lupo, when sub zero the pipe that fits on the rear washer jet freezes and pops off the jet then when defrosted dumps screen washing in boot. Even when correctly diluted.

I was under the impression that they only worked when the rear window demister was on.
