Not leased before but looking into it now.

Do some companies have a better reputation than others?
Any benefit paying a bit more for good service?
Is it all just about cheapest price?

I've heard of Lings. Any others I should check out?

My current and previous car were leased through two different brokers and I ran quotes with a number of others, I get the distinct impression that a lot of them are very small companies. I made early judgements on how well they communicated with me and that has put me in good stead.

My most recent lease was through Gateway2Lease who were very good all the way through.

Nationwide have the best website for building quotes. They usually have pretty good specials too.

http://www.contracthireandleasing.com/

After the basic search use the advanced options to find the cheaper deals or it gets a bit needle in a haystack.

Cheers.

Nationwide seems fairly easy to use. clear pricing.
Jet is bloody awful for searching but seems cheapest.
Leasing4U not bad but need a list option rather than 16 images of the same car! edit, they do have list under advanced search which is quite good.
ContractHire quite good (looks like a comparison site)
Lings good listings and plenty of information once you've got used to the crazy site
Gateway seems to be down at the min.

At least one of those mentioned so far have very high cancellation fees. For example you have a 30k car on order with a 16wk lead time and during this 4 month period you lose your job/get ill or whatever, and want to cancel. You are legally contracted to pay this lease co. a non-negotiable £3500.

The company I am dealing with at the moment has a cancellation fee of 3x monthly payments (£900 in this case) which I feel is reasonable. I have never wanted or needed to cancel a contract, but should it become necessary then owing someone £3500 is obviously not desirable. Read the small print carefully before you sign and if there is anything you are not comfortable with then go to another broker - there are loads of them.

I'd be happy to quote as this is my field - I also don't charge cancellation fees. Website about to be significantly updated but if there's anything in particular you're interested in then please drop me a line!

Hi Richard, I was just wondering if you had any prices for the new Qashqai that's being launched in a few weeks time?

Bit surprised at how long its taken for folk to come back to me. Is it normal to take a while. I maybe wrongly thought it would be like using an insurance broker, 10 or 15 min???

Phoned one company at 9am and sent an email about 4pm this afternoon. Still heard nothing.
