so you all agree then ... a Mono is a suitable gadget for Bond to be issued with, whilst not wanting to get his concourse DB5 dirty
Did you not watch Skyfall ?Think it requires a bit of TLC to get it back to concourse condition
AS for Mono, as a one off gadget for a mission maybe, but not as his car..
This is a stee-ewpid idea! (in a Clarkson accent).
What car should Bond be driving? It came to me last night - the Aston is passe as they have effectively been selling the same engine/chassis combination for 13 years now.
When Aston lost its mojo in the '70s Bond turned to a manufacturer of cutting edge British supercars with an international reputation in Formula 1.
Why not do the same now? The obvious choice - A McLaren 12C....?!

There are probably only a few people on this thread who have actually read Fleming's books, and yes for the younger people I said read .
If you had done you'd have some idea of the sort of character Bond was and how it suited him to drive something relatively anonymous around the streets of Knightbridge and Mayfair.
So let me think would that be a single seat, open top, stripped out, track day car...

WTF?!Not one person has agreed with you, where the fk do you get that ^^^ load of drivel from?
Your previous posts to this have been fairly reasonable, however all your posts/threads since starting this thread are almost as if you've lent your account to a immature child.

If you'd read the books, and assumed that as the starting point, Mr. Bond would be about 86 and bumbling around in a new-baby-poo beige 1.3 Allegro complete with quartic steering wheel and a packet of Wurthers. If you had done you'd have some idea of the sort of character Bond was and how it suited him to drive something relatively anonymous around the streets of Knightbridge and Mayfair.

But the franchise moves on, different cars, different styles and emphasis at each rebirth.
This time, a Nissan Note tuned by Q with an extra 1200 PP9 batteries. A Mono would be sooo last year, and they couldn't afford the product placement fees.

"A Bentley Mark II Continental was featured in the novel Thunderball and is Bond's final Bentley. Bond, having purchased the car in a wrecked state, upgrades the engine from a 4.5 L engine to a 4.9 L and has a custom drophead body from Mulliners. The Mark II was also grey; however, the interior was black leather. The Mark II Continental is last seen in the novel On Her Majesty's Secret Service where Bond upgrades the vehicles once again with an Arnott supercharger controlled by a magnetic clutch, causing Rolls-Royce, worried about potential damage to the engine, to disown the car."If you had done you'd have some idea of the sort of character Bond was and how it suited him to drive something relatively anonymous around the streets of Knightbridge and Mayfair.

A custom built Bentley continental anonymous?
People of pistonheads! Join me in my campaign to get Bond back to wearing a digital watch
Moore was happy to wear either an LED or an LCD watch, and now these times must return.
Had fleming survived into his 80s he would have witnesses such greats as the casio calculator/ tel number store watch and surely is would be all Bond needed
What watch shold be be wearing now?
