Chaps,

Before I hand over the full amount for the CLK, I've done a 'my car check' check on it, shows nothing but the plate changes. My question is, is it worth doing a full HPI check? Is it any more information or any more valid than the cheaper ones?
What's the reg number? I'll HPI it now for you
Ah you Hero.

X111SRV

Is there any difference in info?
All HPI clear, shows as a 5 owner car with the only history flagged up is the plate change that we mentione before. Also shows as having a tracker fitted.

I'd say 70% of us are south. Last time we Karted at Wilton Mill, was a good venue with a nice open track.

I've been karting at Sandown more recently/regularly in their Dmax karts mind.....

Brought me out of the woodwork. I'd be up for a meet somewhere. Donington Park museum is interesting (and a mile from my front door). Would be happy to travel down though, and karting appeals.

Time for a fleet clear out, methinks. M5 is in the classifieds, the X5 will be next. Have decided that it's not the ideal car to be commuting in, so I'm thinking of replacing it with.....an E46 M3. Because that obviously is ideal for commuting. Race car towing (race car might also get chopped shortly - still undecided) duties will be taken over by a van (yet to be acquired) and then, with any luck, the 518i can finally get finished.

Foolproof plan, right?

It does seem to, yes. But then, I sometimes think my first X5 was better than this one, and so maybe I should go back.

Or would a 996 be a better daily. Or or or...

Dunno.

Yeah, I think so. A manual 46 M3 ticks most boxes,I think.

I do really like the X5 but it's just not that economical and it feels wrong using it to commute solo.

Will need to think on it a bit more. First time in a long time I've been left indecisive on what to get.

Tried one, just not a big fan. Would rather risk a 996 I think.

Ah the old "one size fits all" conundrum!

I'd reluctantly decided another e46 M3 was the answer (reluctantly, because I really wanted something with back doors) until I found this B10. Obviously a rather different proposition, but similar money, more go and much greater comfort.

Time will tell whether it scratches sufficient itches.

But that manual CS looks great. Big money though.

I'm sure I've said this many times before, but I'm not an Alpina (of any generation) fan, so that's not for me.

I've not had an E46 before, so it's something new. However, part of what I like about the X5 is that it literally does everything, and the35d is quotes at better MPG, so I'm wondering if I've just got the wrong model.
