How ridiculous is that?

A 997 GT3 is faster & more comfortable, it may not be quite so rare, but what is wrong with these lunatics buying old Porsche when the new cars are so much better?
Barratt Home vs C18 manor - one is way more efficient, cheaper to run, more practical, but the old one is worth more. How ridiculous is that?

I'll take:
An F40
F355
V10 M5 (as a daily)
997 GT3
and considerable change over a 2 seater beetle. Any day.

Make it an F50 and I'd be content with the same list on the driveway.

Plus an F150 Raptor for insane giggles.

Talking of old st, popped into the bodyshop that did the m5 today. Amongst the rubbish knocking around was a Ferrari 250 California, a Clio Cup racer and a pair of racing D Types, one of which is the Ecurie Ecosse #504, the other an apparently famous car but I forget who/what.

There was also a '63 plate DB9 convertible in for repair from a side impact. List price of the car was £137k, Aston had quoted £109k to fix it. 80% of the car was untouched. Turns out there's quite a lot of fibreglass in a new Aston from the factor- I had no idea.

Nope. Apparently they don't keep paint code details at the factory, only names, so when a car needs painting they quote to paint the whole thing as they can't colour match. Quite why they operate that way I don't know.

They are. They'll do my next E28 when that's ready for paint. But like all good body shops, they're busy - mostly with classic race cars at the moment. Should quieten down as the racing slows down.
