Was looking at that last night. Looks lovely, good ownership prospect with those miles though?
Can't see why it wouldn't sail past 200k miles with any more fuss than a standard 6 pot E46. Plus these cars tend to attract more attentive owners than your average E46, so I'd wager that the bits that have needed attention have already been done.I'd be checking the Alpina specific oily bits such as dampers, exhaust, diff etc. The rest is pretty much standard E46 fare.
If I wasn't currently banned from car buying, I'd be on the dog.

Couple of things to look for on these B3.
The ride quality is not what you would expect from an Alpina as it's an E46 and knocking on a bit. My E39 528i with 180k on the clock rode better even after a mild suspension refresh on the B3.
The other issue is the gearbox. The Torque converter will be shot if the gearbox has had no attention. Couple that with general vane and shaft wear and you're looking at a £1500 rebuild.

The Dutchies love their Alfas.
On a completely different subject, I must get around to removing tax discs from my cars when I next see them. It's the kind of thing that would give me a skerrick of satisfaction, being able to de-clutter the car's windscreen a bit. I completely forgot about it when I was in them at the weekend. However, it seems I am not alone - on a short walk back from the shops yesterday evening, not a single car that I walked past had the disc removed.
