Vauxhall? An alleged 320bhp with four wheel drive, and probably the only one you'll see in a lifetime of ownership. smile

There's an insignia estate one of these down the road from me. Not sure if it's got stock exhaust but it sounds brutal when he gives it the beans.

In which case I'm afraid I have to hate him.

Ben you're getting better at picking bikes, this one is considerably better than that Honda CB360G5 based pile of crap you found a few days ago...

Is that not going to try to inhale your testicles?

I'd imagine that they'd be fairly large to wind that throttle fully open so of sufficient size not to fit through the trumpets.

Just skipping back a page or two... Has anyone driven one of these Golf Rs? I know people wax lyrical elsewhere, but I value the collective Thread wisdom rather more highly than the rest of the internet's witterings. The description earlier as "anodyne" sort of fits with my expectation. Is it accurate? How could it be anything else, I guess...

I also find myself drawn to exploring the current RS4. But it would have to be a very good deal to be affordable.

The old Golf suffered a rather ignominious MOT fail yesterday so plans to whizz about in it next week have been scuppered. At the same time, Mrs G's 8 year old 5er needs a small fortune spending on it by way of preventative maintenance.

The attraction of a full manufacturer warranty and fixed cost motoring really does appeal some days...
