Right people, the 750i Sport has gone to its new owner today, so i'm back in the market for a new car. Slightly different budget this time though!

£1500, you must be able to get something good for £1500 can't you? Anyone seen anything interesting?

Forget the pub. Full night's rallying on Saturday night, wash it Sunday, drive it to work Monday.

An MX5 might be the right option, as I can potter around in it for a few months then pop it in the garage when we buy a new house next year and then get a "sensible" car to go with it.
Doing it the other way round, i.e. barge now, mx5 after the house purchase, may well mean that the fun garage car never gets bought. There will always be something else to spend the money on biggrin

Wheels on that are worth about half the price of admission alone. If I wasn't still haunted with nightmares of trying to replace the heater matrix on a G60 I'd be all over that.

Please don't let this thread be populated with the nonsense that an MX5 is anything other than slow and average. Even stripped out and race ready they're a bit of a handful without being particularly exciting.
