I meant painless as in not finding the rust return within a year, not actually the physical aspect of carrying it out.
Easily avoided by using someone competent!

Got any pics? Are you giving any thought to using wheelspacers to fill the arches a bit? I think that is usually the problem is using smaller diameter wheels - it's not the diameter that's the problem, but the offset. My assumption is that manufacturers intentionally make the small wheels look a bit weedy to enourage buyers to spec the larger wheels.

There is a 986 Boxster near me on the standard 16 inch wheels that is a case in point - the 17 inch wheels look so much better, but only because the 16s are sitting so far inside the arches, E-type style.

No service history prior to 98k miles but cheap and maintenance hasn't exactly been ignored since.
Now £2500.

What's going on here?

Yep. Expecting cash today, he's collecting it tomorrow. Good bloke, going to use it as a daily in Zone 1. Big balls.

Got asking price. Think its worth more.

I've never understood why the grey leather and dash is so common on the 986/996, it's bloody awful.

I've never seen a scam advert read like an enthusiast has written it, or have the part exchange considerations.

He's chopped £2k off the price though, wanting it gone or not, that's not right.

100% scam
The ad has either been hacked or content copied to a new one.

I can never remember the photo with an email address in it before, never knew ads could get hacked as such.

It's a copy of a genuine one, including pictures, with the email address photo added. Not an original that's been hacked.

Looks good. Will look really good with a lower ride height. biggrin Are they factory Cayman wheels? I've seen a similar style on late 997 Targas but not Box/Cayman.

For comparison the weedy little 16s on a Boxster. I think they would look fine with some spacers and slightly lower ride height.
