1:48secs in the eyes of a tosser you are driving like an utter mentalist.

You are seriously underestimating how many ignorant retards make up the general public.

Your video is asking to be sent to the police.
I agree with the above, whilst not my view a 'norm' would view that in a completely different light. Personally I would not want me driving like that in the public domain.

It's a good review though.

Or perhaps choose a location for the next one which doesn't see you driving past driveways and houses in a spirited fashion.

even if under the speed limit it doesn't look great.

Oh FFS , the guy was driving slowly and got a bit of oversteer by application of a bit of power . Who hasn't done this? Interesting video and not a bad effort- but it serves to show that what the Hammonds and Needells apparently do so naturally is actually bloody difficult.

Ha! Was good to watch. You handled yourself very well. I surely wouldn't have been able to do anything like that.
Reminded me of my drive in the 86. It felt so nimble and light.

Wouldn't take long for a NON PH to blow this out of proportion.

Delete the video and remove this thread IMO.

Stuff like 1 minute 48. You are seriously asking for trouble here.
There's very good evidence of dangerous driving on that video. I would be worried about a knock from the Police if it gets a wider audience.

At the least the Daily Mail will like it....

I think it was nicely made, camera work and driving above average.

But I do fear the Daily Mail mob. It's the kind of thing I'd film overseas or only share with friends. Or edit out the slide bits for general YouTube links.

Thought it was good and very polished, Tbh lads I wouldn't worry, you weren't going excessively fast, and the slide was at minimal speed and controlled aswell, not to mention the lookout, shouldn't be a problem, would like to see another if possible.

Good work.

This was cool, good work. Looking out for the next vid now.

Review of decent cars, but by a normal person. Good niche, wish i'd thought of this first.

While you must be brave to share that on the internet, I'd agree that driving like that could get you into trouble.

While we all like to have fun from time to time, I'd draw upon the following specific points that may be frowned upon by the general public:

0:58 - purposeful oversteer outside someone's house
1:08 - going past more houses (and possibly a driveway) at a decent pace (I'd estimate 70-80 judging by the revs in 3rd?)
1:14 - you looked fairly committed through that relatively blind corner, if there was a cyclist or stationary vehicle mid corner could you honestly say you'd be able to stop in time?
1:23 - again going at a fair pace with some oversteer past driveways
1:48 - I know it's already been mentioned, but more oversteer outside people's houses

I know there is much worse out there on the Internet, but you can imagine how it would look to the home owners if they looked out of their window to see a GT86 going sideways passed their driveways, especially if they have children that play outside.

I'd also think about possible consequences if this video fell into the hands of the courts if you were to be involved in a motoring charge of any kind. I'm sure I remember reading someone's prison diary, where things they had written on the forum were used against them in court. Driving down a country road with houses either side in that manner is no different in my opinion.

Not having a go as such, but just some things to think about for your next video.

True. But context is everything, no speedo shots and no houses right next to the road. I know what your saying but two wrongs don't make a right.

Just remember the furore over the gt86 advert (sadly)

Everyone being outraged that they could only show the full advert on the internet? Sounds ok for the OP to me.

Love the noise from inside the car much better than I would have expected, didn't seem to hold up on the external shots though.

I genuinely thought you were about to bork a car you'd borrowed for an hour in what would have been a classic watch this moment.

Whilst I like every man reviews and enjoyed your video and comments I personally would never admit to driving like that on a public road and filming it, then posting it could land you in the 5hit IMO.

PH is a very risk averse arena for this kind of video, people are forever being ticked off for admitting they enjoy driving with any purpose. You've gone even further beyond the pale by uploading video of yourself not driving cautiously on a public road. Shame on you and your hulking sidekick.

Possibly you and Luke should consider wearing balaclavas the next time you go out recording such terrifying stunt driving. That could be your YouTube thing, dangerous car reviews in balaclavas.

Hats off to the poster, that took some bottle on here.

being critical I would have liked to have heard more about how you felt the car handled compared to the every day stuff.

You are right though, this is a long term sleeper, good for an old car that will be reliable and let the next generation taste how it used to be "in the good old days"

Nice work.

PS When picking up my daughter in the MX5 last week I did a 10mph half spin just for the hell of it. In the school bus stop. Daughter was impressed, no other grammar school kids in sight so ok in my book.

This is PH not PC.
