It should look and sound bat st. When you're getting to these kind of power figures you should be buying something that looks a bit like the vw wrc car. Fair enough a 200bhp gti being low key - but with double that power it should be all booming exhausts, hissing turbos, stupid wheel arches and huge wings. Massive "turbo" badging as well please!
that sounds like a nasty Maxpower carredroadster said:
More stupid prices for people who don,t mind been ripped off, 90%of cars are metal x it by weight of metal raw materialprice which are cheap,so its all down to design and producing machines for making them and the development costs oh i see where the other 30 grand has gone.....
at least this one will actually be fun to drive instead of paying £35k for dull 2.0 tdiredroadster said:

So explain to me why aircraft are so expensive then? Bonus points for making it comprehensible to mortals.

Even though he hasn't seen one, or driven one?
It strikes me that, these days, being entitled to an opinion, simply means having an internet connection.
If he said it looked fantastic would this discussion even be happening ? No. It strikes me that, these days, being entitled to an opinion, simply means having an internet connection.
He is perfectly entitled to an internet connection and an opinion.

No. He is not entitled to an opinion of a car he knows nothing about. He's entitled to speculate, positively or negatively, but to proclaim it as dull, before seeing or driving it, is pretty silly. Only in my opinion of course.
Ok, but why pick on him and not the pages full of people saying "this looks fantastic" and so on ?Kenny Powers said:
I think we are speculating. I would hope so at least, considering no one even knows what it looks like.
Phew! Without the intervention of the opinion police I might have wasted time speculating about a car about to be released, and we all know just how bad that might have got!andrewparker said:

I specced up a Golf R the other day and it came out about £33k (before discount, if any).
At least 8% is achievable on a 7R.MonkeyMatt said:

I was a max power man, would never dream of building a car but loved the power, the ostentatious of the cars that were shown. The problem is mainstream car manufacturers have essentially sold out, these top of the range cars are for the middle-class out doers.
Yes they are the extremes of the cars but it just feels too marketed too targeted, too 'accountanted', the essence of the whole thing of the whole thing has been monitised in the business smoothie maker and out comes the car
The merc and bmw have really blurred the lines between marketing and bullst, what is really wanted and needed is a limited edition that is just a whole lot cheaper and not all about bhp.
