For the 30k or so that car cost you vlad you could have had a couple of very nice cars. One sensible and one mad instead of taking the compromise. (ETA or the depreciation cliff)

We can still love cars while not owning our dream car. I do love cars & I love driving, but cars are just machines or tools and life is too short to sacrifice doing stuff for the sake of having a bit of metal on the drive.

Joking aside I do agree with the OP and I do dislike its almost de rigeur to put in a hate filled reply to anything new or different. You only have to look in the Golf R or Polo R threads recently to see that trend very obviously. Its not everyone but its enough.

You forgot winter tyres too. He buys non premium tyres, claims they are then moans about them being awful and that he can't keep his 335d is a straight line. Must be a beast!
