Wow! Just wow! That was a video that brought a tear to my eye, because I could really feel the emotion and determination that he had to achieve what he did.

Absolute hero, if ever someone deserved a medal for driving (Out with warzones) it's him.

I've driven many laps of Monza, Imola, Red Bull Ring, Hungaroring (twice), Valencia & Estoril in diesel hire cars and had way more fun than the guys in much more exotic machinery,. I'd say that I'd rather do 30 laps on the limit in a diesel hire car on track than take in easy in my own supercar (I haven't got one!) and not reaching any kind of 'limit'.

That might be my favourite nurburgring video...outstanding commitment and not just on the day. What a great little car.

In a sea of spoilers, power and money, sometimes we need a little reminder of what fun driving is all about.

Chapeau that man. That is fantastic. Best ring lap I've watched, one of the best PH articles I've read. So much respect for that man's commitment to the cause. What a great driver too - to consistently be getting all those corners so damn well nailed is impressive and I'm not surprised the laps he's had to put in.

Good job. Nice to watch, not unusual though.

There are plenty of good drivers setting good times in "ordinary" cars.

A similar thing here at Goodwood. High power Porsche against low power MX5 at a "power circuit". After 7mins in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detail...

Just superb - smooth, considered, committed, and the perfect rebuttal to the argument you 'need' need big power or huge grip to go fast and have fun. Wow.

Cheers PH for bringing this to our attention. Great drive and respect to the young lad - huge balls!
Best 'ring vid I've seen.

It's comical how he seems to be quite bored on the straight bits - especially uphill. But there are these moments of absolute sheer terror where he has to take out his brain, leave it on the entrance of a corner and just throw it into the apex!

Brilliant!

Too right.

Doing sub 10min is a hell of an achievement.

Love that. Love all the snatched gear changes. Love how the front tyres have been spec'd that perfect amount wider than the rears to give some neutrality to the handling. Love that the perfectly clipped apexes and exits show hours of practice. Love it.
