absolutely daft ipad tablet thingy stuck as an afterthought - not for me
No idea why MB are sticking with this, same as on the A Class. Looks stupid, better having it integrated into the dash or making it retractable.

Overtook a new C-Class on the german autobahn recently and the rear end looked absolutely ghastly, especially the light cluster. Also the front end and the headlights were totally out of proportion, almost like a caricature of the new S-Class. The pictures in the story are a bit misleading in my opinion.

However, I do like the outgoing model.

I have to agree... I am no fan of the new nose being adopted across the models

I much prefer the more aggressive looking front of the outgoing model, especially the one on the coupé

I think it's a handsome thing. List price is irrelevant. They will mostly be leased I'd imagine.

Erm, is it not identical to the saloon/estate? It's just different from the a-pillar back.

The coupe has 1 less bar in the front grill, I only know as we have one of each.

Looks pretty good to me, a fair bit nicer than the 3 and A4, particularly the interior.

Look forward to seeing the touring version....

Anyone know if the new C63 will be 4Matic or stick with RWD?

wonder what the Burmester will be like? Given how expensive their home gear is it could either be stonking value or a total travesty.

That's what I thought about the new S Class. Then I saw one at the Stealership...........

Their latest models don't photograph well.

went past a new s class this week - have to say it doesnt have as much presence rear light wise as the previous model first had. Mercedes needs to fire its rear lights designer - and their marketing guru who thinks that the ipad generation want one stuck on the dash of their car - as said before make the bloody thing retractable or dont bother.

just searched the bmw interior shots and found this :-

Have they done the same ?

They cocked up the new SL, CLS, E, S(rear), CLA, ML(rear lights). It's all about overstyling and the rear end of ALL their cars look weak! Even the coupes have weak, sloping, daft rear ends... what a dreadful cardesign era we're in sleep

New C Class has a similar dash design to the new SLK, but that has the media interface/satnav nicely built in... smile

Shame they went for the stick on tablet with the new C...

Owning a new 3-series, and coming from the old E90, I wasn't impressed at first with the screen being stuck where it is. It does, however, work a lot better, and is more visible at a glance.
My guess is it allows savings on the lesser equipped models, as the manufacturer isn't wasting material on a fairing for a minute or unusable screen, plus they only have to make two versions of a dashboard (LHD, RHD) instead of the 4 that were in the old E90 for example. IMO

I'd be most interested to know if the body panels are no longer made of cheese, and the brake discs aren't made of milk bottle tops.

So it must be common. I couldn't believe it when my front discs were finished after 20K miles I have never got through discs at that rate before. I was even a bit sheepish when I took it into Mercedes to tell them the brakes were in a bad way after such a short time...(I had just come back from taking it over the alps.)
