So he owned the car for 12 year and spent £8,000 to drive it 4000 miles?
meh - I can buy that. We all do dumb things, spend more than it's worth etc. I suspect he may be a little optimistic in his performance figures (but not knowing Jap stuff I'm not certain), the kit isn't the worst I have seen... but that mesh is fecking hideous

there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of "you're bidding on the wheel trims" type breakers ads on eBay. It's a long standing trick of the scrappy trade. Not sure why, but it is.

But this is not quite one of those, though, is it?

This particular auction is selling the vehicle identity rather than spare parts.

There is an entire thread running about this somewhere.

I'm not sure I understand the problem. There are loads of cars sold for "spares or repairs" whose most valuable component is their identity. What's different about this Land Rover?

Can anyone show me beige interior plastics which do not look ghastly?

I like the exterior colour of the Porsche and even the painted console looks acceptable to me.

the random combo of some beige, some jade, some grey, none of which match or contrast particularly well is just piss poor though

I like that Porsche, although the green bits inside are perhaps a bit much. It's infinitely nicer than the usual silver rubbish.
