Not sure what to make of this ? Makes a change from an MR2 and at least Pininfarina is involved somewhere along the line...

Only needs a Respray, the suspension sorted and the window bonded in, wow what a bargain for £10k but remember folks it's much better than an MR2 (Ferrari) !

Doesn't look right from the back - the wheels look as if they're to far out.

Here's one of the 'offensive' MR2 versions:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MR2-FERRARI-355-GTS-REPL...

At least the engine's in the right place ! Though it makes you wonder why anyone would go to such trouble to make a really good, convincing replica but base it on s T-Top ?

"THE PEUGEOT HAS THE EXACT SAME WHEEL BASE AS THE FERRARI AS IT WAS DESIGNED BY PININFARINA AS IS THE FERRARI"

Because, of course, Pininfarina _always_ and _only_ design cars with the exact same wheelbase...

FFS.

Still, at least it is a v6. The last one that was on fleaBay was an HDi.

The kit itself... http://www.extreme-sportscars.com/360/extras.html

I like the idea and a 4 seater version is useful but the 406 coupe is a rather gorgeous car in it's own right and it does seem a pity to desecrate one in the name of plastic.

I'd have it. If I had 10k to spend on such a car...
It's not any less pretty an object because it's not genuine. I appreciate I'm more visual than most PHers though.

Someone I know thought about building a 406/Ferrari about 5 years ago, not sure which company supplied the bodykit, but they abandoned the idea when they saw how much of the body had to be cut away, he wondered how safe they would be in a crash.
