I doubt it. As long as the cars carry premium pricing and reliability remains decent, they will not suffer at all. Not sure how their previous business model of building one sausage in three sizes made them any more or less "premium."
If they were to cease producing the sort of cars that originally "made" the brand, so to speak, they would have to ensure that they were always at the crest of the "next big thing" wave. At the moment, Audi, BMW etc. are like the Apple of the car world...but if they aren't careful they'll become like Blackberry or Nokia.I like it. I don't care what any opinionated mong thinks.

These will be bought by the same sort of idiots who think a TVR is a 'a real drivers car' or those who think an Aston 'is a timeless elegant design' or those that say 'It had to be a Volvo, I do 50k miles a week and no other seat can compare for comfort' or the Porsche owner who buys it because 'It combines the classic with the new' or the Alfa owner says 'it gives me that little bit of the Italian Lakes in Doncaster' or the...
LoL, how dare you come on here with your sensible logic. Get out now! BBYeah said:
This is the first time I've actually literally LOL'd at a picture of a car. I'd love to be a fly on the wall of someone who bought one of these, to see what other objects of bad taste they have bought.
Probably.A Rolex, not a Daytona more likely a Submariner or sea dweller
B&O stereo
Bose clock radio
iProducts
or any lifestyle product that is not quite as good as other products, but looks good and gives a feel good factor.

Post a picture of your car, and your wife for that matter, and then we can decide whether your opinion counts. gizlaroc said:

That looks like something Ssangyong would produce to make their Rodius look more attractive!!

Even allowing for hyperbole, that's not true.Rather dip my man sack in a bowl of chillies, followed by a 3 hour muffing session with Susan Boyle!!
I have my prejudices about the sort of people who buy X6s and RRSs (old version), but I'd sooner drive an X4 than do either I those things or anything one tenth as bad.

Ignoring the "ugly stick" comments which I truly don't understand, the X6 is a remarkable car. It seems to suffer from JC not liking it and everyone jumping on the same bandwagon. The rear window may slope, but so do all coupes. If viewed as a coupe with superb visibility, great handling and obscene power it just makes sense.
But it's NOT A COUPE.Edited by Simond S on Thursday 6th March 10:40
Why not just buy a coupé? It's the perfect stereotype for the Chelsea Tractor which it so obviously is trying to be. (IMO)

Plus in any case, he's still allowed an opinion (which I share). - I own a Discovery ..................
And Discovery drivers are not wannabe mountain rescuers or some such? People buy things because they like it, whether that be for practicality, looks or just because 'they do'.
Of course we can have an opinion, it is human nature to judge others buy what they wear, drive, how they talk etc.
I just don't get why "God that is ugly" is not enough, to then say "I would love to see what other objects of bad taste they have bought" says more about the person saying it imho.
I would love to see what objects you are surrounded by when you are perfect.
