Apart from Quasimodo and Warwick Davis, who the hell could sit in the back of this thing. Now rivals the Panamera as the ugliest and most pointless car on the market. It must be a German thing.

A guy I know just bought a pimped white X6 complete with drug dealer glass on the front windows, and to say it looks a bit daft and a bit wannabee on his 1930's semi detached's off road parking is an understatement.

This X4 will only go the same way......

I quite liked the X6 for it's shear balls out look at me quality. A cheaper smaller version of that looses all of that.
also both of them should at least be 2 door, the all things to all people niches are getting tiresome.

That's the biggest problem with it.

It seriously looks like someone has described what a 5 series looks like over the phone and then drew it.

It's fcensoredk ugly.

I've always maintained that they should have kept Bangle.

The four door coupe (saloon) version of the 6 series (coupe)seems to work in terms of looks at least, as I think the coupe (saloon) is one of the best looking saloons (the coupe) available. Although at the price charged the BMW badge may be a little low rent for some, being shared with so many ebay M badged sheds sharing road space.
The X4 coupe (saloon/suv) whilst no doubt good for the off road style ride height, if not the ability, is not perhaps the most attractive of its type and when described by BMW themselves as having the 'Elegance of a classical coupe', does suggest that even they think potential owners have more money than sense.
BMW make a lot of very good cars but Macan, Evoque, this? And yes I know it makes money but so do Dacia, I would prefer a Lotus - its Pistonheads!

...dick tractor...
Just laughed out loud there. I am going to have to try to use that.

And to the bloke who accused everyone who dismisses the X6 as being ugly because of JC, I, being blessed with the gift of sight and 20:20 vision, managed to work for myself out that it was hideous before that Top Gear review. It probably drives very nicely and is put together well, but it's just hideous.

I recently went to China, and it is quite obvious that BMW will do well with this new dick tractor (there we go). They lap stuff like this up out there. Although I think BMW will have to do further niche work, and bring out the X4L, as they like rear leg room in China...

Uhm, really ugly car. Actually the X5 too looks very ugly to me even if I wasn't so critic at the beginning. I never had the desire of owning one but I reckoned that back in its first days it was something different. Now that the novelty has expired it really makes no sense.

X5 makes perfect sense. It's large and practical and good for getting children in and out - more so than the 5 Series (I speak from experience). X6 and X4, on the other hand make little sense.

For a car that makes no practical sense, buy a low, two seat sports car. It wil look much better and be fun to drive.

Find it amusing how they are trying to fill every niche possile hehe

Going to be interesting to see how they handle launching this alongside the 4-series Gran coupe and recently released 3-series GT, definitely some cross over there!

I really like this, think it looks great, yes it's a pointless neiche but it's less of a pointless neiche than the 4gt. Which is a very strange car

A 4 door slightly jacked up coupe based on a 3 series when a gt already exists

Love this, and will order one, even if only to enjoy the feeling of knowing that the unimaginative keyboard warriors on here will get so annoyed when they see it. I want bangle back.......it's no e39.......it's not mini anymore, oh sorry that's the other comment, wrong post!

Here's an idea that will make your lives easier and more enjoyable, just judge each new car on its own. Try it, it's a brave new world. I can like the new Peugeot, XFR Sportbrake, and this, life without stereotypes is great.
