Couldn't you just get the original lights and colour code them to the body? Terrible fotoshop effort attached to give an idea.....

Hah just saw CrisW comment...exactly...
Same here if I had a 4c I would pay to colour code the headlights asap and hope those spider lights are available later on so I could fit them as an upgrade. I know they give the car a unique set of head lights but to me they just look a bit ugly and silly. Sorry Alfa.

So the quote from Conor Twomey is pr man speak for ' Yes we know we made a giant cock up with the headlights and of course existing customers can have these retro fitted to their cars and they will most definitely make production' Then we can sort out all the other complaints that have been made about the car and its price.

That looks so good, I'd almost forgive its Wing Mirrors.

A definite improvement, but I think I'd want those rather cheap looking grey plastic bits around the lower projector painted black or better made from carbon fibre.

I have three questions of the alfa:

- When will people in the UK start taking deliveries of the 4c and thus, when will we see them on the road
- Will the production spec UK cars be tweaked to address some of the complaints thrown at it by the UK press
- Will anybody spec their 4c with the original lights on it.

I agree, painted black would do. I would also never spec the silly option vents in front of the front wheels, and would consider taking it to a body shop to get the US spec reflectors removed and smoothed over.

Has anyone seen a road test, or actual car, of a RHD 4C?

I don't think they're making RHD yet. Satisfying LHD orders first.

Saw one of these over the weekend at Bromley while I was having a nose around the car park. I must admit, the headlights don't seem to look as bad in person but Alfa still need to do something with them.

The late Leonard Nimoy may have simply observed: "Fascinating" [or not]...
It also occurs that all 4C headlight versions (of this admirable & otherwise brilliant Alfa model) so far, rather unfortunately, suggest that their appearance & design cues have been derived from 'The Borg'.
Alfas have always been renowned for literally-beautiful aesthetics. Lotuses have rarely, if ever, been aesthetically challenged. And I'm an enthusiastic admirer of BOTH marques.
Philosophically, Lotus in particular, has always been linked to: "form following function"; not that this has ever been especially-far removed from Alfa Romero philosophy either.
Ironic then that the most recent Lotus models' forward lighting have been both effective, nor have they attracted such adversely critical reaction.
In some respects this is a superficial difficulty.
But, to be "very comfortable", nevermind "completely delighted" with a purchase of either marque's offerings, it would require a high degree of perversity to select the relatively "challenged" option.
Having concluded that, "throwing out the baby with its bath water", must also qualify as something of a waste...
Hence any prospective purchaser's dilemma???
