Had a look at these as I saw them on the TV.

As a 21 year old lad my credit history is only short so I accept I don't have the greatest credit history.

However, having been in my 20kpa job for over 2 years, had a previous loan (fully paid off) and a smartly used credit card I accept better.

14.9% APR is ridiculous, especially considering your the 'friendly' company that advertises on TV.

A small amount of homework late and I accepted an 8% loan from my personal bank, with no early repayment fees.

Much happier!

Hi Adam, Car Loan 4U are not advertising on TV. Are you confusing us with another company?

If it was Car Loan 4U that you contacted for a car loan then I'm sorry to hear that you weren't satisfied with the rate we were able to offer you. The best rate we can offer varies depending on each individual's circumstances. I'm glad that you were able to get a loan at a rate you were happy with elsewhere though.

Thanks,
Dani

Phones 4 U are doing alright for themselves as well.

Avoiding a company just because it has '4 U' in the name is the most ridiculously snobby thing I've ever heard.
Yeah right.

Car loans 4 U are just a broker making money from "kick backs" from the actual lenders - do your homework and go direct to the bank/lender.

Well Dani,

I never take credit as I prefer to pay outright but, if for any reason I need to then the way you have remained composed and factual goes a long way to creating a good impression.

Everyone like you guys will always receive a baptism of fire from PH as a fair few members are stheads and seem to go out of their way to make life awkward for others.

Anyway, if you worked for me then I would be proud of the way you are representing the business.

A good friend of mine used CarLoan4u a while back and he had nothing but good words to say about them! The people on here complaining about higher than usual rates should understand that sometimes the rates you pay depends on your idividual credit score. The better your credit, the better the rates you get!

Well i must say that i have been impressed with the level of service and competence that i received from the CL4U company. And i can honestly recommend them, given what they have done for me.

I was somewhat wary of them at first, just my natural defence to any loan company i guess. But given my credit history took a bad knock a few years back, most places didn't want to entertain the idea of a loan, even though my proof of income was more than sufficient (powerfully built director and all that). So i didn't really have too many options open to me, and took a chance to see what they could offer.

After the initial playing around with what i would like, as a car, and how much i was willing to spend etc, I submitted my details for a quote.
This returned quite quickly (during the working day), and i was approved in principal and i knew how much i had to play with.

A little while later i receive a phone call from a happy chappy (Joe Ng), and he was able to explain to me all the nitty gritty about the potential loan and what they needed from me.
So the APR was a little higher than expected, but to be honest i wasn't looking to pay off the loan over the duration of the agreed term. But this was more along the lines of obtaining the funds to purchase the car i wanted, and then i could just throw a load of cash at them to pay it off quick sticks.

I recall the hardest part of this all was actually viewing the cars that i wanted. Some were already sold by the time i had a chance to view, some were just too far away and others were just terrible. It took me just over a month to find the right car, but once the paperwork was sorted, i was a proud owner of the car within a week of test driving it.

So hats off Joe Ng and Sean Mcevoy from CL4U, for helping me out. I'm very happy with the new car.
When i spoke to the dealer, he was also happy with CL4U and was impressed that it went through very smoothly.
I will be happy to use the services again in the future, if needs be. Cheers

Just a quick note to say I have used these twice now and cant speak highly enough about them. The service for myself was exceptional. I actually had a bit of a problem with the original car I bought and Car Loan 4 U told me to bring the car to them and they would return it to the dealer down south and I would hear no more about it. I was very thankful for this. They then found another car for me which I liked and all went through again very smoothly.

Like I said I think the level of care I received was exceptional and I wouldnt hesitate in using them again. (I didnt receive £100 for using them twice BTW).

Hello Dani

I was looking at financing a second-hand BMW 1M over 48 months. The car is £40k and the GFV is £11k (27.5%). Would CL4U be able to flex this GFV to reduce the monthly payments?

Hi evenflow,

Ok, we might be able to help. Please can you email me with the registration, age and mileage of the BMW? I'll then come back to you with more information on what the GFV could be. - Thanks, Dani

Used them a few of times to top up what money we had saved for a car already and we've had no major issues. The only annoyance I had was when we went to buy a car for my wife and CL4U had sent the invoice over to the dealer before I had agreed to buy the car. I was going to buy anyway, but had booked a 2nd viewing to see the paintwork during the day to be sure (made the call handler fully aware of this) but after receiving an invoice, the dealer was very reluctant to entertain my haggling upon my next visit.

I had said the first day that we would be buying, but this was pending the 2nd visit to make sure it all checks out. In retrospect, I put it down to the call handler possibly being new/inexperienced as I hadn't even put down a cash deposit, so what would have CL4U done if I decided I didn't like the car the next day?

Annoying, but wouldn't say I'm put off using them in the future as every experience prior to this has gone smoothly.

I have sold cars to customers who had arranged Finance through CF4U and all in all the process was hasstle free.We await payment, which happens usually within 2 days, call the customer and do the handover.
In fairness a good setup I think, customers are happy.
Having moved dealerships and location,I will hopefully deal with them again.

Hi Ren Esis,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm really pleased to hear that you've used us a few times and will consider using us again in the future.

Car Loan 4U is growing at a fast pace. In fact, since this thread was started we've doubled the size of our team! I can assure you though that every Car Loan 4U advisor completes an extensive training program before helping customers. Cash deposits are also not always a requirement of our lenders.

I am really sorry to hear and concerned by your comments regarding confusion over your vehicle invoice and decision to buy. I'd like to investigate what happened further. Please can you email me with your full name and date of birth so that I can locate your records?

Many Thanks, Dani

Hi bean455, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying working with us and thanks very much for kind comments. Yes, our latest survey results show that 98% of customers feel they got a great deal and would use our service again, which we're really pleased about.

Have you joined our recommended dealers scheme? http://po.st/CL4Urdealers

Many Thanks, Dani
