Hi,

I thought this might interest you guys on here! https://www.fourdot.co.uk

I went and had a look round the premises a long time ago before they launched the website. They took some photos of my TVR for the online configurator. It's quite an impressive setup they have there and the idea is fantastic.

This web page shows off what they look like: https://www.fourdot.co.uk/explore.php#plates I particularly liked the clear edge around the plate, it definitely makes a difference.

Hopefully I will have a set soon, so will put up photos of the end product!

I'm not associated with this company at all, I just thought you guys might be interested in this new idea.

Dan

Quite pricey for a pair of plates for your average car I suppose, but if you've spent £x,xxx on a nice personalised registration, then £185 for a set of plates to set it off has got to be worth it.

Look at the Aventador on the website, looks awesome!

No, it's not really worth it and they look gruesome IMHO.

Not really for me either but each to their own.

I do suspect that you'd end up being tugged by dibble every 5 minutes so they can check that they are legal.

What a waste of money.

How many plates would Gulzer need to buy to keep that as a going concern.

Perhaps so - but I find them tacky. To me, the plates should be as unobtrusive as possible, and definitely not be so loud as to try to grab attention from the car they're attached to. IMOHO

To be fair they have got some simple stuff like Carbon Fibre and some other bits, lots of designs to choose from. It would be nice to get a proper plate shaped for my TT!

I had to look through that abomination of a website 3 times and I'm still not convinced I'm missing something.

A number plate with a wky surround for 185 pounds? Have I got that right or is there more to it?

In that case I am glad that my phone, equipped with a full HD resolution screen, does not meet with their approval so they will not show me their site.

There is a market for these.
I can see the "powered by fairydust" brigade liking them and young lads with their hot hatches wanting to individualise their cars but they won't buy them as they are just too damned expensive.

£80 a set and a stand a Trax etc, and they will do well.
