Ok, I saw this thread and saw what people were saying, checked out the website and thought it wasn't a bad idea, yeh you can go to fancy plates, but you get what you pay for cheap looking and sometimes illegal plates which will guarantee you a pull by the police. Here everything is legal, it's a great gift idea and you can change an ugly plate which ruins a lot of cars into a feature. If you can afford it why not. Don't hate it because you can't.
Not my no plate but just made this up in 2 mins. Gulf Porsche colours, pretty cool.
I love the Boxster Sypder, such a cool looking car. I think the plate looks great on it. It would be interesting to see it on the car for real. Did they give you an ETA for delivery? The TVR Chimaera isn't on the website yet.
Yeh I think it looks good too, I ordered it online Monday night, then they rang me Tuesday morning to go through some finer details on the design, they were really helpful, they said it should be with me by the end of the week. You should give them a ring about the tvr, they might need it for scanning as they said they still need more cars to scan. I'll post some pictures and keep you updated if you like?

With numerous typos/spelling mistakes on the website, would you really give them £185 for a plate?

I, like most, are commenting on what I see. Give them a chance to do what exactly?

Judging by djc77's grammar and spelling he probably can't see them.

Judging by your previous quotes on this site your exactly what I'm talking about.

You cruise allot of threads making unnecessary comments.

I post an opinion, surely the whole point of a forum, whereas you have sat on the sidelines for a long time contributing nothing, and are now flouncing around scouring my posts trying to point score, seriously grow up, if you want to spunk £185 on some tacky st (my opinion by the way) be my guest.

Any company that can not even take the trouble to proof read a website prior to launching it doesn't come across as particularly professional, that's constructive criticism by the way.

You're all missing the point. What this guy's nephew's business these people offer has terrific potential for us all.

Never mind the tacky website. Never mind the poor grammar littered across every page. Never mind the pretentiousness of the copy. Never mind that the plates themselves look like something befitting a 1990 Nissan Sunny. Never mind any of that.

What we all need is the Certificate of Legality. Try it: When Dibble pulls you over, fish around in your glovebox and show him a bit of paper with the words "I, Mr BlokeOffTheInternet, do solemnly declare that the offending piece of chavvery is absolutely legal. Cos I said so."

And it will work. He will give you a salute and send you on your way. He won't have delayed you, or embarrassed you, or taken the chance to breathalyse you/check all your tyres/poke around in your glovebox himself, he'll just send you on your way.

How great would it be to have that happen? Every time you drive past a fking ANPR camera?

Creative, different, eye catching. Plod magnet. Legal. Quite cool. Very over priced. For £40, I may order something interesting. At the original price not a chance. Shame. We need some legal innovation, these may be tacky in some minds, but everything is another man's tat. I like the idea but can do it cheaper myself.

Ok, I can see that the large majority of people that post on this site really just go round thread after thread trolling, if you have the time and effort to do that, then I feel very sorry for you, that you have nothing better to do than hide behind your computers pretending you have more friends than you actually do.

I think a lot of you are actually missing the point of this company.

A lot of you like to drive around in nice expensive cars, some even go so far to collect certain high end brands and post pictures of them outside your house for every one to see, some people like to wear expensive watches and clothes etc. With these plates you are buying into a brand, something bespoke, something different to the norm, something new.

Its a status symbol

How you design your plate reflects you, so if its tacky, you made it tacky.

Why do you go to fancy plates?

Because you can put a little lotus badge where the GB was or to personalise it with your company details, and because it suits what you are prepared to pay.

With this site there are hundreds of different combinations you can create to suit you and your car, and they're not going to create anything that isn't legal.

I'm looking forward to receiving my plates later this week.

Because I can order them in the afternoon, complete with the GB letters (so a separate sticker isn't needed when driving abroad) and company website along the bottom for around £24, and I receive them the next morning.

That's why I go to fancy plates. smile
