You'd be surprised smile. Off the top of my head, there's nothing structural or of MOT failure standard that needs doing. Wheel arches are reasonable, as is the boot floor, although it will need preventative measures taking very soon. There are some bubbles around the upper safari lights that need attention, but they could be fibreglassed in the short term.

It's scruffy, and there are loads of things that actually require doing mechanically to bring it up to a good standard, but it could be a reasonable rolling restoration job.

The chap who looks after my Land Rover is thinking about selling his coil sprung V8 converted Series 2a... They are great bits of kit practice spannering on, as they are just giant Mecano kits.

They are, although a Series is better than a Discovery in that respect, as it's easier to get the body dismantled.

Fair enough, I've seen some basket cases though.

I like working on 4x4s though. No need for ramps, you just crawl underneath.
