unlikely to be a real RS but maybe there are porsche beards around to confirm! Still v cool even if not.
Bumpers should be impact on a 77 surely, so maybe it's a backdate? Isn't the "proper" RS earlier than 77? Still a nice-looking car though. When I was looking at Porsches the trend was the other way around, to get a pre-impact bumper car and make it look newer.

only confirmed as '77 2.7 via number plate check, so I'm sure there's lot of potential for it to be a bitsa..

I'm not a Porsche beard either but I'm sure the RS was more like 1973.

It could just be a registration anomoly.....nerd

Hi there,

Spotted outside the preparation area of Wilmslow Porsche this afternoon. 911R really does need Silver wheels not at all keen on it with black wheels.

I love a 3 point turn there! Some serious metal normally.

I assume that's the same R I saw coming into the dealer 10-11 days ago, unless there are a few going to customers in the North West.

Agree with Tim. 99.9% of cars look much much worse with black wheels. Don't get it.

4.0 RS, ruined with black wheels.
599 GTO ruined with black wheels.... The list goes on and on

And this 911 R certainly no exception.

Casually rolling into Worcester the other day.
Definitely a '77 2.7, not sure if it's a genuine RHD RS or not.
It's a replica. A very nice once, but a replica. Nice enough to have sold for £173,000!!! At the Silverstone classic last year......

It's too busy, where paint, green stripes, black stripes, black wheels, yellow calipers & clear lights, too confused.

I'd love to see one without stickers etc in say polar silver.

£164k rofl

I have no doubt they'll sell it to some chinless wonder with a pot full of tax rebates but it's nothing special to look at and there are much better cars available in that price bracket.

The wheels look like they are off a Smokey & The Bandit era Trans Am.

There was one at destination nurburg yesterday in the same white, did't look all that unfortunately. Incidentally someone I know very high up at BMW has put in an order for a "CSL" apparently, quite what this CSL will be a version of I have no idea but the craic is one is coming....
