Did a bit of Googling on that De Tomasa; some angles it looks great, others it looks awful.
Longchamp

yes Bits of Cortina and Granada going on all over the place.
Basis of the Maserati Kyalami which looks even better.
Now thats much easier on the eye IMHO!

Not my spot but it had to be shared for rarity value:

That's a parts bin speciale albeit a very rare and valuable one.

can't make up my mind about that... I think it may have been customised to look like a newer version than it is? Those rims are a bit excessive... but i tend to think it is a bit awesome.

I know what you are saying.

But I'm wildly guessing that's a '94 S4 model?... possibly just had a refresh and some blingy rims

...and isn't the wing fitted a bit high up the pillar?

There are a few styles of rear wing from that era and I can't quite remember which ones relate to which models now.. there was the low one at the base of the boot, a double decker - and this one. It is standard though.

Both of those are itches I'd like to scratch at some stage.

Trouble is, my one Lotus experience (and that of a mate who had an Esprit) was that the Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious moniker was quite apt.

I think it should be a "brace of Loti"!

looks a bit more like a 80s version from the side, to me anyway

1993-1994 Esprit S4. Returned to the deck (and made wonderfully swoopy!) with the S4S in 1994.

I was lucky enough to drive a 2-Eleven when the lovely chaps at Hethel lent one to the Beaujolais Run a few years back. I can highly recommend you give in and scratch away.

Not on the evidence of that photo - the proportions look very wrong.

Ha, there was me thinking it looks better at that angle than any I'd seen before. Love how compact it looks (still couldn't fit in the spot, mind!) - would be quite funny if it's a case of the photo being distorted thinking about it.

The 8C spyder is stunning in the flesh. Spent some time drooling over one at HR Owen a few years ago. I recall a magazine taking one on a roadtrip across Italy. They described it as a car in which you can enjoy the good life.
