Initially thought it might be a converted LHD shell given the plate, but it's apparently Special Vehicles for the SAS.

I've said it before Alex, but your shots are outstanding. The Aventador in the rain is absolutely stunning, I'd have that as a print on my office wall.
+1, always great shots

Matt black really cheapens that! With the amount of S conversions going on surely a standard car will be appreciating?

I believe they were produced this colour from Jaguar, Only 6 made i think, Carbon/Kevlar body etc, Basically a Le Mans car for the road.

Hi there,

(time to put the anorak on)

There were only ever 6 XJ220S models produced. There is one original car (Yellow) that I believe is still in the UK.

The others are mainly overseas (in the USA I think) and were affectionately known as the 'Opal Fruit' cars due to their bright colours.

There is plenty on info in this old thread here: -

K435FNT started life as a normal XJ220 in aqua blue before being repainted black and I guess it has now gained the S bodykit

Tim

What a shame - the original spec is much more unique.

My old boss was a LandRover fanatic. He entered an MOD sealed bid auction, must've been 15 or 20 years ago now, to bid on an ex special forces armoured RangeRover. Well he won the lot, and was bursting with joy. Then he went up with a trailer to collect his RangeRover, which turned out to be just a chassis and running gear. The armoured body was specifically excluded from the sale for 'security reasons', but in his excitement he'd not fully read the description. All was well in the end, as he used it as the basis for a project involving chassis shortening and a donor body, but it wiped the smile off his face initially.

TEX 4 which I believe is a Isdera imperator. Does anyone know anything about the company and the rarity/value of the car I saw?

Wikipedia is pretty decent on Isdera history.
