Spotted up in London yesterday a rather rare beauty...

Aston DB4 GT Zagato. Heard it coming, sounded rather lovely but this was the only picture I could get with the phone...

Do you know the plate? There are at least 2 Zagatos in London (they're a few garages apart, laugh), but only one is that colour. However there is/was one there recently which is a replica build on a DB4 shortened chassis, which is the same colour as you posted. So it might not be the real deal. Still, it's on sale for something like £1 million anyway.
The plate is FAS 302, I also saw it on Saturday. I believe thats the replica one you're talking about.

Sounds like it. I never saw the plate of the replica, but it's certainly not the real one that I know about.

Far too many dull, repetitive supercars recently. What's needed is an unassuming 1980's French hatchback with its own Gallic charm as a palate cleanser.

Oh crap!

I bought this...

...really rather lovely Alfa GTV Lusso Ts as a Winter runner but according to...

https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/alfa_romeo_g...

...there are only 144 left on the road! yikes

That's almost as rare as my X1/9

I feel guilty about the mud now.

K435FNT started life as a normal XJ220 in aqua blue before being repainted black and I guess it has now gained the S bodykit

What a shame - the original spec is much more unique.
Fed up of people putting the S bodykit on standard cars to be honest.

Changing a unique colour to overplayed matte black is just terrible as well.

I really like that. Especially in that colour. Such a shame to see it sitting outside, unloved... cry

I've seen worse, but it still breaks my heart. It would be a dream to own it.

Somebody find the owner and make an offer. "£7k 456 GT" as a PH headline? What could possibly go wrong?! hehe

Ah. That solves a problem. I was convinced I was going mental cos I couldn't believe I'd seen that in Holmes Chapel yesterday around 6pm. It was dark and I was knackered. I'll cancel my appointment at the quacks!

I thought I was seeing things when it came round the roundabout by the Britain's stadium I won't lie. Fer better looking than an XJ220 imo.

I think I also saw it on the A50 near to the JCB place back in the summer.

EDIT: just realized Jaguar guru Don Law Racing is in that part of the world, so may have been a visitor there.

It's not a super car and you don't spot it, you purchased it.

Maybe readers cars would be a better place
Because I was surprised by how rare such a modern car can be. Also anyone else who is looking for a potential future investment should consider the Alfa GTV.

When the car was first sold in the UK in 1995 the platform had the road going version of the engine that won the BTCC in 1994, widely regarded at the time as one of the best handling front wheel drive cars ever built with one of the best twin cam' engines ever made. Thanks to the Spider being far more popular the GTV was outsold and outgunned by the Fiat Coupe Turbo models. The V6 came later to remedy this but the GTV V6's are holding their value at the moment making the twin spark and Lusso models both affordable and desirable.

Is she a car? Yes

Is my car super? Yes (Pinninfarina design house compared to the other anonymous autocad crap on the road? Very super)

Is my car a rarity? Yes (only 144 left on the road and 56 SORN according to How Many Left and there are over 800 Ferrari 360's; so very rare in comparison).

Did I spot my car? Yes (on eBay)

I hope that answers your question. wink

It probably insulted his inherent snobbery, some people seriously need to get over themselves on here.
