I for one, would rather see a nice little GTV photo rather than somebody just saying they saw a car.
That's probably just me though smile

Didn't manage to get a picture sadly, but Jaguar XJR15 spotted on the a50 in Stoke yesterday afternoon. Looked and sounded awesome! And the reg number was XJR15 biggrin even cooler.
I saw the yellow TWR XJ220 on the A50 by Britania stadium once a few years ago. I had a poster of that car on my bedroom wall when i was growing up. Couldn't beleive i had seen it. XJR15 is cooler though.

But why post it here?
It's not a super car and you don't spot it, you purchased it.

Maybe readers cars woukd be a better place
Is your life suddenly worse because he posted it? Have you somehow suffered consequential loss?
Get over it, scroll past if you don't like it .
It probably insulted his inherent snobbery, some people seriously need to get over themselves on here.
No it's probably because the thread is entitled "supercar spotted"

Shall I post a pic of my old 4l V6 Pathfinder,
Engine from the 350z, but enlarged to 4.0 and only a handful ever sold in the country?

Reminds me of reading in a car mag about the Lister Le Mans, and thinking I would likely never see one (this is before the days of Goodwood Fos) and the following day was sitting in traffic in Chiswick and one pulled up next to me at the lights.

No picture as I was driving but I spotted a silver Volkswagen XL1 on the M25 today near Heathrow. The plate was German, WOB XL 119 so I assume a VW press car.

It looked tiny and quite classic from the rear, it was only on drawing near I realised it was quite the opposite.

Matt.

If you wanted to see an XJR-15 or XJ220 of any flavour then Stoke would obviously be the choice as Don Law is based there.

Please don't. The whole point of a forum is to divide conversations into topics. This is a spotting thread. We are not debating if the car is 'worthy' or not, the point is just that it is the wrong place to post it.

I agree
Whether it's considered snobbery or not is irrelevant, but this thread does occasionally need an element of policing, and I'd suggest posting up pictures of ones own car isn't exactly 'spotting'

My weekend car is stored at my Dad's garage where I'll be headed towards tomorrow, I'd never dream of taking a photo of it and posting it here, though, it's poor form.

My favourite thing about this thread is the quality of photography from the proper spotters, I'd love to have an ounce of their talent!

One of only two in the UK...

...making my Panda Fantasia that I spot every time I walk down my driveway rarer than most of the cars featured here.

Swerni. You win my award this week for pissing on your own chips.

I'd love to see pics of both those cars! (I'll keep a look out in Readers cars perhaps..)

That was at the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power in 2013, I forget the story behind it but it was brought by Don Law as others have said.

I believe the registration is actually XJR 1S rather than 15 - partly based on vaguely remembering it from CPoP, and partly from a check just now that shows XJR 15 isn't on anything, but XJR 1S is on "Jaguar - Unknown".

I think it's know as 'boasting' or 'gloating' rather than 'spotting' usually when it's your own car. Happens quite a bit in this thread and annoys me everytime ("hey guys look at this ferrari I spotted isn't it ace (ps. i just bought it  :winksmile). Etc.

Maybe it's petty/pathetic to be annoyed by it but it's simply not the point of the thread, and this is one of the best threads on the site.

I saw that parked outside the hardware place in Longton, most bizarre thing in the world is seeing someone getting a gas bottle that car hehe

Could well have been some slightly dodgy plate text to be fair. This is a rare occasion where it can be forgiven.

Perhaps not a supercar, but certainly rare at the moment - on a transporter on the M25 this morning was a 2015 Ford Mustang, in black. Looked really good to my eyes.

I'd imagine there's quite a lot wrong with it if it hasn't moved for 6 years...
